Guest guest
I have a question about Heaven Rushing In and Separating Heaven and Earth. In Donna's book she says to take a deep breath in and raise your arms. She then goes on to say to breathe out as you bring your arms down. Does this have to be all in one breath or can I take multiple breaths while holding the position? I love to start my morning with Heaven Rushing In, just feels good, and even more so if the sun is shining. Also, I am prone to hypoglycemia. Any thoughts on the best exercises to stabilize blood sugar levels? Triple Thumps is supposed to help I think. What I am looking for is a quick fix for those odd occasions when it comes on suddenly and I am away from home and have forgotten my emergency snacks. Thanks. Elizabeth. Either will do but if in doubt do more breaths and hold longer. You could also reach and drop several times. Try whichever you feel works best. Heaven Rushing In stretches and opens channels by it's very movement and is amplified by Intent. Enchancing Donna's highly effective teaching of the drill, " Seperating Heaven and Earth " , we call, " Lifting Ceiling, Pressing Table " as part of my QiGong warm up prior to a taiji routine. What we do, in addition to what Donna teaches, is set our INTENT first to the state of Sung and then do the drill while holding our intent there. While doing the stretch we release all gratuitous holding, sink our awareness to the dan tien and focus on the relaxed waist permitting chi entry for 25 heartbeats on each side. The breathing will do it's own thing perfectly as long as we stay Sung. This drill is a double effect drill in QiGong; Both opening the dan tien to restore depleted chi and stretching out clenches to permit flow through conjested areas. rusty - " Elizabeth " <esleight Monday, April 18, 2005 2:55 PM Heaven Rushing In > > > I love to start my > morning with Heaven Rushing In, just feels good, and even more so if > the sun is shining. > > Also, I am prone to hypoglycemia.
