I have had a major system failure and had to do a desructive

recovery so I have lost everything that was on my computer and will

need to reinstall all the programs I still have my older files on

Cds but I broke the back up disk I had just made so my recent files

and drafts and artwork are completely gone. It took me from 7 Am til

noon just to get the operating system working so I am a bit punchy

at the moment . Anyway my return to activity from my holiday break

may be a bit delayed because of this.

Let this remind everyone:

1. Always make one or two backups of valuable data

2. Invest in System Restore, Ghost, GoBack or some

type of software that recovers your data - and then

make sure it is creating the necessary backups and

saves.

3. Invest in security software - antivirus and

firewall.

4. Do system maintenance regularly - disk clean up,

defrag, virus scan, and so on.

All right, I'll get off my computer testing soap box.

Very good advise although in this case the system restore failed and

the back up disk was damaged a combination of Mercury Retro and

probable y the result of ignoring a strong hint from the universe

because I've lost an almost complete article on Huna 4 separate times

Either I'm not meant to write it I need to totally approach it from a

different angle or something

These things are not that devastating with my background I'm pretty

good at starting over

this year is starting out with quite a bit of sudden changes and

uncertainties but I expect that things will get resolved positively It

is a bit of a soap opera around here right now.

Yes, there is that. Sometimes the failsafes dont' come

through. and yes the Universe does take a dump on us

now and then.

:-)

Like Monty Python sings:

" Life's a piece of shit,

When you look at it,

Life's a laugh and Death's a joke, it's true. "

You'll see it's all a show

Keep 'em laughing as you go

and remember that the last laugh is on you! "
