Here is that post I promised relating to QUALIFYING...

 

 

EFT------Top 6.5 List why I like it

I've been using several variations of EFT for quite a while, both for myself and to help clients.

Over the years, I've noticed how it helped me ( I grew up in a dysfunctional family and so I've always been and will be on the look out for ways to make Powerful Changes and Improvements... )

We've used it in ( name of a popular Hypnosis practice group I helped form years ago )

meeting for ages, since our very first meetings in NYC.

Since adding EFT to Sessions clients have been getting better results and so here is my Top 6.5 List why I like it. But first some more back ground.

JP and I used it even more around Ground Zero, 911 because the office is located nearby, and it is very effective and more subtle and got many people to want to come into the Office to do full Hypnotherapy sessions. ( Every attempt to do Hypnosis in Public ? Ever notice how some want to interrupt ? Well, many times it looks to them as if the person is drunk or being mugged ? Where as if they see two people doing EFT together they will usually figure you are just 2 crazy New Yorkers or where ever you are located...

and will leave you alone

( to send messages to the Alien Mother Ship LOL )

I do quite a bit of Hypnosis in public, however, it is more of a fun and motivating kind.Things to feel Confident and good, or at a party more like Stage Hypnosis skits NOT therapy because it is just the wrong setting.

1. It helps people to relax and eases tension, especially the "funnier" parts of EFT. Rapport----you are tapping TOGETHER in sync, breathing, etc.

2. It Qualifies those who are willing to follow simple instructions and Suggestions ( we KNOW the value of that for the clients to get the Maximum benefits from Hypnosis ! )

The ones who don't want to hum Happy Birthday or put any effort or energy into the session ( NLP Swish Patterns, etc. ) I leverage their "yeh, yeh, whatever just do your magic." blasse attitude using Away from and Towards Strategies and test along the way. If they are not cooperatingthey get to go home

So in effect it can be used as another Suggestibility Test.

3. It gets them to feel more deserving of the Change they get so they can keep it easier.They are/were an ACTIVE PARTICIPANT in their Change !

They do some of the "work" in the earlier part of the session and so they realize they really DO want the change. ( not like the client that just wants to close their eyes and have you do your "voodoo" TO them--------we know it does NOT work like that )

4. The client gets to feel Empowered that they are learning simple, effective Tools to help them through stressful times, etc. and so they can feel more Confident about themselves and believe they will keep the changes...

5. They leave the Office WITH something ( Tools, Skills, Drills ) they can continue to use and these re-inforces the session( s) and for maintainance, in between sessions.

6. The way I use it and teach it helps their over all HEALTH

( Energy, Lympth, etc. I add more and more EM to my sessions ) and gets them feeling GREAT

that they are doing something to

take back control of their lives and start the Healing Process...

Adventures in Trance, Michael Twomey P.s. Reason # 6.5 If you ever want a seat on the Street Car, Subway, or Bus you can do some EFT tappingand people will move away from you and often give you their seat :)

And the people who are open minded and curious enough to want to know what you are doing are in a sense, Qualifying themselves as potential clients who may just find themselves thrilled to take your Business Card to call you to learn more...
