crystals for insomnia caused by being in discomfort/pain?

Hello and MM

thought I'd share a crystal discovery I made that seems to be helping me to

sleep better.

Normally when my spine is really sore I use my lapis disc to draw out the

pain, however, my hubby is very sensitive to lapis, and ends up with a

headache ... so I'd been experimenting with a flat piece of purple/green

flourite i'd bought a while ago (originally to make a pentacle from)

so, i've got into the habit at bedtime, lying with the fluorite placed at

whichever part of my spine is most painful for 10-15 mins, then placing the

fluorite under my pillow.

I recently bought a large piece of garnet, planning on using it for

meditation - as garnet seems to help me release past life memories. For

several nights, I had been using it to meditate prior to trying to get some

sleep - but was getting nothing from it - until after a few days I realised

that the nights I'd meditated I'd slept right through until about 3.00am

before waking up (usually I'd be awake throughout the night)

I've not used the garnet, only the fluorite for the past few nights, and my

sleep pattern was disturbed like it used to be ... so for the next few

nights I will try again with the fluorite/garnet combination - and see what

happens.

Just goes to show that when you buy a crystal with a particular purpose in

mind ... it might just not be what the crystal wants to be used for :)
