No, no, I'm reading everything. It's just so much information, that I

am feeling as though my brain is overloaded.

Also, didn't see this one if the files yet...

I have come across a specimen that I used to display years ago - a hand

sized piece of white, fuzzy-sparkly looking aragonite - not the clear

greenish variety. I used it to communicate with my Companion angel, to

ask what I should use it for. The answer I received was " Trust

yourself " - very pertinent, because I have been wanting to practice

Reiki publicly where I live, but self doubt is holding me back.

Anyway, does anyone have any further info on aragonite? Would this

fuzzy whitish variety have different properties from the more usual

clear greenish variety?

Thanks for your patience,

Susan : ))))))))))))))))

As a Reiki Master - I applaud your wanting to set up your own business

locally. :) And it does take *Dutch courage* to do that. ;-) I might also

suggest becoming involved in - or even starting - a monthly Reiki share -

where Reiki practitioners come together to do group Reiki on each other - pro

bono - and chat about their experiences. :)

You go girlfriend! :)

Blessed Be,

Bonnie

I have never seen this form of aragonite Suse, but there is a picture in

Melody's Love is in the Earth. This piece has sharp needle like points over

the surface. She gives all versions the same healing properties.

The only fuzzy white stone I have is Okenite which feels like cotton wool

when you hold it. I find it works to help me in diffusing anger and so it is

sitting on my defunct scanner at present to stop me from hurling it round the

room :-))

Thank you, Bonnie. I appreciate the support. A Reiki share is a great

idea, and I'm sure that even in a rural area such as the one I live in,

Reikis are probably out there, waiting for like minded individuals to

step forward with opportunities to share their Reikiness.

I suspect that it isn't the idea of practicing Reiki that frightens me,

but one instead of self worth. I was brought up in one of those

families where a woman is considered fairly worthless outside the home,

and my husband (a good man, but...) was raised the same way. As a

result, I have a great deal of self doubt as to whether any endeavor I

begin would bear fruit. There's always the fear that I'd either be

laughed at for failing or - worse - getting those patronizing looks from

family and friends if my business plans didn't work out. (She's always

been into that " weird stuff " .) That's why I was very interested when my

aragonite helped me connect to the idea of " trusting myself " . I am

wondering how I should work with the stone in those regards.

Thanks,

Susan : ))))))))))))))

Susan,

My mother continues to tell me that in her day people like me we burned at

the stake!! I just laugh...

But seriously, many of us have grown up in the same kind of " narrowing "

environment that you have. There are lots of psychological reasons for men to

put us down. You can't do anything about them but you can do something about

you! Why don't you look up a good hypnotherapist to help you work on your

self esteem. A couple of sessions ought to do it. Your consicous mind already

knows that you can be successful. Your subconscious is holding you back with

all those fear of failure thoughts. Hypnotherapy will get both minds to agree

so that you don't get anymore conflicting messages from within. Then you can

be who you are really ment to be.

Keep me posted

I would continue to meditate with the aragonite and see what specific

information it may bring to you - as I do feel that it will. And yes - as

women we tread a fine line when we set up businesses for ourselves. If we

fail - we are patronized. And if we succeed - well, often times we have to

work at not overshadowing others in our lives. It sounds sexist - but for my

generation (I will be 53 in Dec) this is all too true.

Another idea - set up a chakra grid under your Reiki table. :)

Blessed Be,

Bonnie

I have some of the brownish red aragonite " sputniks " and a white

spiky

cluster-chunk

but none of the green .I have not really worked with it much but find

the

white is a comfort and calming stone for me as well as seeming to

help with mental clarity I do find that it seems to help with angel

work.

The brown cluster seems to spark creativity and be somewhat

stimulating I

thinkof it as an Aquarius stone but that is just my feeling about

these

not

from any book.

The different forms do seem to have at least slightly different

effects.

Hi Susan!

This is what Melody's Love Is In The Earth book says about it:

Predominant colors include white, yellow/yellow gold, green/green

brown, and blue.

It provides for ease of centering oneself and is especially helpful

during periods of stress and anger, or during preparation for the

state of meditation.

It can also provide insight into the basis of the problems which one

confronts on the physical plane and can stimulate communication on

the higher planes.

It enhances one's patience and helps one to " maintain " comfortably

during conditions requiring the acceptance of an abundance of

responsiblities.

It can, when consciously directed, help one to maintain strict

discipline within one's activities. It also enhances reliability and

practicality.

It can be used to combat chills and bring warmth to extremities. For

chills, an elixir can be utilized; for warmth to the extremities,

place the mineral on the location. An aragonite elixir can also be

used as a " spring tonic " and to ease general aches and pains. It's

also helpful when applied locally to problem areas of the skin. It's

been used successfully to combat deficiencies of vitamins A and D.

The varieties from Tsumeb, Namibia, have purported values against

hair loss and in the amelioration of wrinkled and coarse skin.

Vibrates to the number 9.

Hope this helps!

Love and light,

Sandra
