On Melody's Perspective

Greetings all!

I completed my Melody Crystal Workshop this past October and found her method

both enlightening and helpful, but will continue my own research into various

modes of crystal healing.

With respect to individual perspectives, let us remember that Melody was a

respected scientist long before she pursued her crystal research. From a

scientific standpoint, the properties of no crystal or mineral were added to her

writings until she had received feedback from at least three separate respected

individuals who were qualified to give opinions on the subject. Thus, Melody's

writing reflect more than one opinion, and her instructors constantly reminded

us that our own personal experiences and communications with the stones that

choose to work with us are every bit as valuable as Melody's.

I agree wholeheartedly with Fabeku in that " We each have a unique relationship

with the stone spirits and, in reality, each stone, while it may share traits

with others in its family, is very individual. You may have two pieces of

amethyst and one may hold dissonant energies and one may not. In the end I

believe that it's more important to find what's true for you and to rely on your

own connection with these stone spirits. "

Abundant blessings to all!

I had been told by several people that Melody's material was

channeled, as the Michael stuff was- is this untrue? Just curious. If

Melody's work is not channeled, I will have to re-read the book from a new

perspective. I hate being misinformed :)

I have always been more interested in a stone's properties from real

history and what seems to work for me, rather than channeled stuff. I pick

up a stone and use it for what it 'feels' to me that it should be used for,

and this doesn't always agree with Melody's perspective.

Melody's books are an amazing source of information, as she has SO

many stones listed. I have considered taking her training also- have you

found it helpful Jean?

As I use stones for healing, ANY training or information that will

help my clients is important- as you know, what a certain stone does for one

person may be completely different to the next!

For example, many people find Lepidolite helpful, but when I have it

around, it turns grape jelly purple and makes me really irritable and grumpy.

But some of my customers have received many wonders from this stone :)

Blessings to all- Samantha

To be clear, it wasn't my intention to discredit Melody's work. I

continue to respect the work that she has done and the significant

contributions she has made to the body of information on the energies

of stones.

My point is that there are many others that are using methods similar

to Melody's and produce different results. This doesn't invalidate

either side of the results because I don't get into " either or

thinking " in this field that is largely intuitive. Rather than one

being more valid than the other, I believe they're all valid and that

it expands our understanding exponentially.

I also didn't imply that Melody or her instructors set themselves up

as the final authority. The reality is that while they may not have

set themselves up as such people in the community look to them as

such. The issue with that is that people then begin discrediting

their own inner knowing if it doesn't match what's written in a book -

any book. That is where my concern comes in. It has nothing to do

with whether anyone set themselves up as that or what methods someone

used to determine the energies of the stones.

Thanks for allowing me a chance to clarify any misunderstanding that

may have come from my original post.

Fabeku
