Guest guest
Hi Nancy, It is a fairly common practice in most major areas. There are also many who would be willing to make house calls on special cases. In general know that you will pay much more for this service. Where are you, perhaps someone on the list can recommend an AP in your area. He's taking a bunch of pain meds, which causes constipation, which is making his pain worse. He's on a seemingly endless cycle of all of this. Because of all of this its really difficult for him to be in a car. We were hoping to try acupuncture for his pain and nausea. Would it be reasonable to assume that I should be able to find an acupuncturist who would be willing to treat my father at home? Or is this something that just can't be done? I'm not familiar with the intricacies of acupuncture, so I'm not sure if it's even possible. Do acupuncturists make house calls? If it's not normal, do you think one would be willing to consider it based on my dad's diagnosis? I'm planning on getting out the phone book for our metropolitan area tomorrow afternoon and making phone calls. But I thought I'd ask here just in case it was something that couldn't be done for some reason. Thanks for your help. Nancy Payne
