this is my understanding...

Say for example, you are muscle testing for substances, and

everything is

going good, and then you test the person for broccoli, and they are

all the

sudden very strong, even though they tell you that they are allergic

to it,

and now the test strong for everything, even aluminum foil- which is

supposed to be the universal allergen. They are in an overcharged

state -

because when they were a kid, the parents announced that they were

divorcing

while the mother was cooking broccoli. they have high blood pressure.

And you are testing another client for substances, and all of the

sudden

they can hardly even hold their arm up for the test, small intestine

in

wiped out, they start to feel dizzy etc. same scenario, this person

has

chronic fatigue.

And a third client, starts to argue with you about the results. And

you say

" Show me yes " and the arm goes down instead of staying up - all 3 of

these

clients and in overwhelm....and you can't go on a keep testing until

they

can come back to themselves, this person has fibromyalgia.

when a person is in homolateral, they are not able to coordinate the

right

and left side of the brain and body...they have to turn off one side

of the

brain to get to the other one, and they have gotten to the point

where the

switching does not work well, and are usually stuck in one side.

An example is trying to remember a person's name...the right

hemisphere has

the face and the left hemisphere has the name, and they can't

connect the

info from both hemispheres. Getting lost and not being able to

comprehend

directions, etc is another. The left brained dominant person (David)

becomes very rational, tries hard, but cannot comprehend and lacks

feeling,

and often has no idea they are homolateral. The right brained

dominant

person Donna can't think logically, and feels overwhelmed.

In this culture at this point in time we are really accustomed to

living in

1/2 of our brains, especially the left.

When the fight or flight response comes in, energy is shifted to the

back

brain, and the body is wired for reaction. Energy is shifted to the

skeletal muscles, the eyes

switch to peripheral vision, the tendons shorted and tighten...This

is

another level of brain disorganization. Some people are hard wired

to

fight, some to flight, some to freeze, and some have a combination

of these

options. The person is only working from side of the brain but now

they are

also defensive, aggressive, frozen, or whatever their pattern is.

The body

is wired to react,

with very little energy going to the parts of the brain that house

compassion, reasoning, and comprehension.

If a person is hard wired for fight, more energy stays in the arms

neck and

shoulders, and the person starts to test strong for every single

question,

red in face. This person has no idea that they are impaired, often

arrogant

and in denial under stress....

If the person is stuck between the hemispheres, they seem to get

weak, and

if they are in a true reversal, yes means no and no means yes when

you test

them.

One source is a seduce slap parenting style where the parent would

have an

underlying criticism/rejection to a child, even if they were saying

something nice,

or be inconsistent in having one personality in public and be a

monster in

private. The child gets into a pattern of survival like

disassociating, they

feel as if the pattern either ran over them, shattered them, tore

their

aura, etc. These kinds of histories are in the penetrating flow,

because

what the parent says and does penetrates the psyche of the child so

deeply.

Trauma with a teacher etc can also be a source. Any kind of

clandestine

abuse also- where the child waws threatened not to tell, had to lie,

etc.

When people don't feel safe, even in an email group, they are not

able to

comprehend, so they can't really communicate from both the thinking

and

feeling side, because they are on guard.

Basically, we just want to show their system to move from that

disorganized

pattern back into full brain capacity, and help find the keys to the

kingdom

for that person's consciousness.

If you get both hemispheres back on with cross crawl or cook's

crosses, then

the back brain has automatically moved out of fight or flight, you

have just

reached it through another doorway. Hook ups in all 3 planes and

penetrating flow work too, but you might find that one is really the

most

reliable thing at the moment. -I think most modalities try to start

with the

right and left sides of the brain, but Donna has really helped to

emphasize

triple warmer.

Then once their body has mastered that technique for awhile, you

expand to

teach the body something

else. Anything that counteracts the fight or flight will help

get the brain returning back to full brain function, tapping the

meridians,

EMDR releases the eyes, etc. You just start somewhere, but the best

thing

is have something easy that the person can do and embraces. I know

one

woman who could not cross crawl even if her life depended on it, but

she

loves to hold her forehead, and that's about all she can remember at

this

point.

hope this helps and not too long winded!
