Go into your Account settings and make sure all advertising

is not clicked. The default is for EVERYTHING to do with

advertising to be on.

 

I didn't even give my full name or correct address in my

account. That way there can be no regular mail spam.

 

On the bottom of the email from the witches group there should be

a link to go to the group itself. From there, you should be able

to take yourself off the group.

 

If it doesn't work, sign up for a new user email account.

It is easy to do. I do it when I get so much spam it is not worth

maintaining that email account.

I'm getting it and I've heard from a couple of other

people who are too.

 

I haven't been able to trace the source yet.

If the email is directly from the sender and not received through a group

you want to keep you can block sender so that address cannot send you any

more spam.

Some spammers get around this by changing the sending address continuously

but it works for many cases.

Open one of the spam letters then click on " Message " on the top line of

your page and then on 'block sender'.

But if it has a friendly group address in the `From ' slot then don't do

it or you'll block the group.

is anyone else getting plagued from spam?

i keep getting email for some group about witches. I only belong to 4

groups so i hope i can get them to stop. i want good stuff, and not

that. am i the only one getting it? how can it be stopped? Thank you

I have received several invitations over the past 9 months (approx.).

Most of them for some group about ghost hunting, hauntings, witches, etc.

 

Anyway, when I ignored them, I would end up getting another one real soon.

 

I've sent replies to stop sending invitations, which ended getting me

signed up for the group. I also complained to , which didn't seem

to be of much use.

 

The best way I have found so far to get them to stop has been to sign up

for the group then turn around and leave. When I first did that, I left

immediately, and ended up getting an 'invitation' later. So then I

joined for a few days then left that group. I did actually read some of

those posts. Some real nice people, just not the group for me. A bit too

fluffy and a field I really don't care about. I haven't had any of those

'invitations' since about 3 months ago now

 

That's the best I can give you.

Look for " Sam Spade " and download.

 

It may work.

 

Once you find " the source of the problem " you can

eliminate it in a nice way. :-)

I got it once. ( just one time )

It's directly from the sender, ( a group )

and received through the same group.

I also got one invitation around 9 months ago.

It's from a group of hauntings, I remember.....

There was an expiration date to join.

I ignored the email and that's it.

I'm getting emails about a stock trade, though....
