I am remembering the last season for training in football that had a tragedy. I

think we will all miss that big lineman Corey and wish he could have been

helped.

Football is a rough sport but people love to play it. In professional sports the

competition is strong, and sometimes a player knows that they should let a fresh

player play, even if it is just for one play. Perhaps if Martinez had taken

himself out the game there vs. the Yankees, his team might have won. Seasons are

won or lost on these coaching decisions and player careers as well.

Stamina plays a major role in these strategies and a player might just need a

drink of water at the right time to delay or thwart a overheating collpse like

the Minnesota player had. The mister' or sprinkler idea could have helped as

well.

I remember playing and having another player jump up and down on me after a

successful play. The energy I needed to keep in shape after the jumping incident

may have cost me later in the game.

How about some Gatorade slushies on hand at the sidelines any time a player

needs one in the heat? Thai Bot< tha tea might be a good slushie treat as well.

Player reps, don't be afraid to support issues that affect your health. Trainer

support is important too, and we know we have the best.

For heat prostration....

The kidneys are a source of heat manufacture in our bodies. Massage of the

kidneys coresponding to Liv. 13 as a venter area may help. massage of Liver

points in the ear #76..77 may help as first aid. Conception 1..2...4 and Dumai

4..1..20 moniter and treat.
