When we do something wonderful in nature (appreciating the beauty that is around us), Spirit gives us many gifts. I have quite a collection of feathers, deer rubs, arrow heads, rocks, crystals, etc. I usually use the feathers to make ceremonial smudge fans (very tiny to large), prayers sticks, prayer beads, (can use feathers in them, rocks, too), talking sticks and sometimes I use some in my Dream Catchers. Some I just put in flower arrangements, or in my fetish bowl of crystal points. Enjoy. I am quite a tree hugger. When I get down, I love to tap into all that energy the tree has... I participated in a Tree communication Workshop by Rev.Ruby Harper over a decade ago and it still returns great value in my life daily. A friend of mine took a different tree hugging /communication workshop with San Mateo County Live Oaks ( I couldn't go because it was at the end of a hike in the steep hills. ) She said the tree she joined with was really surprised when she sent energy to the tree because while many people hugged that tree and listened now one had ever given the tree anything other than what the workshop person had told them to bring for a gift. There are meditations of all the trees in the World The trees join in telepathic communions for the healing and restoration of the forests of the Earth They invite humans to join them in these meditations. A suggested time is 6 pm on Sundays (your time is fine) the Live Oaks are said to lead this meditation but the Redwoods also invite us. You may also commune with the trees whenever you choose. Sometimes the trees are so surprised when someone listens particularly when the tree is thanks or a gift is offered . This is sad not for the tree but for people. A Plea from the heartwood The Trees are alive , conscious and Eager, in some cases desperate, to speak with us. They have great wisdom to share with us and some have great pain and need that you can help heal. A great deal of the pain on the Earth is the result of humankind's' choice to glorify the so called rational mind and to completely shut out the voices of the other beings that are with us in this reality. When we refuse to hear the individual voices in this great living entity That is the Universe we do ourselves great harm . Separate your mingled energies and remember what you are. Industrial street -grove Where I used to live there was a run down industrial area on the way when I walked to the local shopping area. There stuffed into small diamond cutouts in the concrete were a few trees. They were about 15 feet tall and round topped. They were all round leafed evergreens with small white flowers most of the year. The trees were almost enclosed by concrete walls and had outgrown their cutouts. The sidewalk was pushed up around them. I always felt sorry for those trees, so far away from a natural setting. One day i found a bench placed under one old tree. I stopped to sit and while touching the tree I thought how sad it was that it had to be here in this dismal spot. Then I heard inside me very clearly and firmly . " I am a sacred tree, Where ever I am it is a sacred grove " . Like the tree we carry our sacredness and beauty with us always. DO You Remember When Fairies Danced in your Garden? Perhaps when you were a child you did hear the voices on the wind or see and or sense the deva , angels and spirits that are around you and if you did probably at some time you were told that It was only your imagination, that these beings were not " REAL " . They are REAL. They do not have bodies in the same way that we do yet they exist in the many non physical planes of Universe. They borrow images from our minds for any shapes we may see. Now it is time for us to renew our old friendships. Begin to work actively with the angels and Deva to build and nurture this world and all the beings in it.
