Hello Heidi,

I am also a beginner but hopefully I can help too. I have 4 dogs, that are

my family too so also understand your worries & concern for your dogs when

your go on holidays. I would advise to do some animal communicating with

your dogs. Explain to them before you go (this is easy you simply talk to

them in clear positive manner. Dont use the negative explainations eg " dont

worry about us " can be understood as " worry about us " , so use positive

phrases " while I am away, I want you to be happy, and have fun with the

different people looking after you " . You have to believe in yourself and

your animals, anyone can do it, & this is how it works. Treat them with

respect, and talk directly to them, explaining that you need a holiday, and

sorry but the dogs have to stay home. For their safety you have this

planned for them, and hope they can make the most of it while you are away.

Tell them, of course you are coming home (in what time frame) and that you

will make sure they get some special things or special outing when you

return. Also tell them you know they will be okay, and leave the (your

higher rank dog) in charge. eg " Top dog you are to look after 2nd dog, I

want you to take extra special care to look after each other, that will make

me very happy. I know you will be brave and look after each other. I will

enjoy my holiday, if I know you are both okay.....then we will make some fun

when we all come home.... " Many crystals also help with the animal

commucation too. Also you can leave a little pouch of crystals

tumble stones with the dogs, which could be just tied to the crates etc. I

would have some animal communication ones in there too, which should help &

you can send them some happy thoughts while you are away. If you picture

your dog in mind (one at a time), and send picture of you smiling and tell

them you love them, with your heart " feeling " your thoughts, your dogs will

" hear " you. Send a happy thought each day while you are away, and they will

know you are okay, so then they will feel happy too. (my dogs always know

when I am coming home.. and I now always communicate to them when I am away,

and even sometimes when I am at work...its very easy, and does help both

person & dogs as you often get the smile back!).

I think you liked the smokey quartz (one of the crystal guru's recently told

us to trust ourselves) you should trust your own instincts, so I definately

would use your smokey quartz. I think alot of the black stones have

protection things, and I think Black tourmaline, and agree with the Jet

stone would really help. Also some love stones to reassure love & peace for

their " journey " so rose quartz. Animal communicating ones, I think are

often green, and I think Rainforrest jasper is helpful. I also remember

something about Aquamarine so possilby this would help too. I would do a

mix of crystals & remember to trust your own decisions. Also explain to the

dogs that these are special crystals you have found for them which will help

I must say, I really only got interested in crystals, from my Animal

communicator friend. I did a workshop, and in that she gave a crystal lucky

dip,and I picked out a little piece of Aquamarine. From there, my interest

has really developed. I am sure each complements the other, and I am very

fortunate & grateful to have met this person, as she really did positively

change my life.

Wow, Liz, thank you! This is also great information. I must say that

the posts I've received on this topic have helped more than all of you

know. A lot of the suggestions all of you have mentioned have actually

strengthened my bond with my dogs. I've done rieki on them, crystal

wand massages, and I now talk differently to them. They love all of it

*smiles* I think it makes them feel grown up! hehe

 

 

 

I'm not so worried anymore about us leaving. I really feel in my heart

now that they will be fine.

I know this off-topic, but I thought Heidi and Liz might be interested

as a follow-up to their posts. There's an animals communications list

on , ACPractice2, which practises communicating with animals.

I'm on the list and find it both educational and enjoyable.

I don't think it really is off topic One of my earliest work with a

crystal was to help me with animal communication

The crystal was agreeable to the program but suddenly I was getting info

and emotional pick up from EVERYTHING

I walked in the park and was mobbed by moths , a squirrel communicated

fear and desire He wanted the nuts the elderly couple had but had been

grabbed at by boys with nuts earlier. dogs projected various doggish

desires, the lawn in the baseball collectively objected to the mower,

anyway it was all too much and i thanked the crystal and cleared it

after a very short time
