I really did like this well thought out post from Chris. It was in reference to someone else who was offended because they took exception to a bit of " punny " humor... It reminds me of the time I went in for a massage, and the well meaning massage therapist told me the book I was reading was " of the devil " and I should NOT read it. I know the person meant well, and meant FOR REAL to save me from going to HELL... ....but I got her ass fired! Her job, when she was working on me, was to massage the neck and the injured left should/spine... ....NOT to tell me I was going to HELL because I happened to be reading " Edgar Cayce on Mysteries of the Mind " by Henry Reed. AND she was told by the doctor where to do the massage, neck and shoulder, BUT... ....she chose to massage the feet first BECAUSE she thinks that a foot massage should be part of any treatment... ....so I made a list and got her fired! Now, group, why did I do that? Is it because I'm huggy feely? ps. and, even though there might be humor, is there really???
