Guest guest
> I get a couple of kinds of patients where " side effects " happens. For those who are clearly agitated and angry: calming Shen and moving the Qi works well usually. The problem is for those that I (that's I) see as liver stagnated/depressed but they seem to think they are just fine and come in for what they think is a different problem. My talk to them is, " chinese medicine... mind/body... some things may get brought up... notice them... and come back tell me about the emotions that you may have noticed. " The third type is someone who over-works themselves to avoid being with themselves. This type tends to crash and get extremely fatigued after each treatment. I'm still working out how to deal with this type although eventually they see how burned out they are. doug > > > Heiko, > I have also experienced patients who get stirred up emotionally from > treatment, although to say they are depressed afterwards makes little > sense to me. Guest guest
Hello sir, Thank you for paying your kind attention. Actually my son 4 years old is suffering from Erb's palsy (left arm). There are no signs of muscular atrophy. Affected arm is slightly weak and in the first sight no one can judge about it, and it is getting well with the passage of time. I visited many ortho surgeons and asked their opinions. Everybody told me to wait and watch and to do exercise along with massage. And I have been doing same since his birth. There is about 50% improvement and he can raise his arm up to his shoulder level but extension movement at his elbow joint is very less. Every doctor tells me as his extensor muscles are weak or not working that's why he is unable to extend his arm at elbow joint. He does well his daily jobs while playing or doing any other job using his left arm, only some times he seeks help. For example when wearing sweater, we have to pull out his arm. I am very much upset with this. Can you please suggest me the best way. The diagnosis is Erb's palsy or Erb's atrophy(Wilhelm H. Erb)? Or Bell's palsy? Both of the diseases have good result by Chinese medicine (acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine). Waiting for your more information. Guest guest
Dr. Bhupinder: I suggest you to look at www.nccaom.org to find your local experienced acupuncturist and Chinese herbal doctor. He or she can help you solving the problem. Acupuncture: local points and scalp needles (for central nerves) Chinese herbal medicine: improve Qi, move blood and warm, open the channel. Good luck!
