Guest guest
Hi David: No different among them. Only different is that Chinese and Taiwanese use in Chinese characters and pronounce in Chinese (Mandarin), and Japanese acupuncture is in Japanese. The originate of acupuncture is in China. In Japan, they might create new terms.for their convenience. There are more books and treatment case records in China and Taiwan. If you want to start to study acupuncture, China and Taiwan are the best selections. --- David Razo <ozar14 wrote: > What is the difference between Japan acupuncture > Chinese acupuncture and Taiwan acupuncture? > David > > > > Health - Feel better, live better > http://health. > Health - Feel better, live better http://health. Guest guest
Hello all, Sorry but I desagree with you. Japanese acupuncture drinks in the source of China, preserves the traditions, SURVIVES to the cultural expolation for decades in CHina, is not manipulated for the political interests (this is true, sad, pathetic, etc). And have an incredible scientific studies behind. Moxibustion in Japan is a career itself (5 years) and there are a lot of different techniques in acupuncture (even those absolutly free-pain insertions, etc). Forgive me, but japanese acup. and moxib. is far superior. Not the knowledge of herbs, ok, but you could read for example Chasing th Dragon's Tail, or an acupoints atlas, and you will see how these locations for acupoints work extraordinarly well, exactly as it is suposed to be, immediatly, some points defeer a little, not much. Just read, just try it and have then your opinion. josep Carrion, Lic.TCM. -------Mensaje original------- De: acupuncture Fecha: Jueves, 08 de Agosto de 2002 07:24:48 p. Guest guest
David: I disagree with Steve. I have studied Classical Japanese Acupuncture therapy, meridian style acupunture and Traditional Chinese Acupuncture (I cannot speak for Tiwanese). The method of assessment is different, the patterns are different, the treatment strategies are different, the point locations and depth of insertions are also different. The types of needles used are different. That's alot of differences for them to be considered the same! I had to stop my Japanese style work the last year of my schooling and focus on TCM style since the board exam in the U.S. is based mainlly on TCM. (My teachers pointed out that I really didn't know the TCM patterns and treatment stratagies). It took some work, but I was able to shift my thinking to the TCM style and get some experience in time to pass the board exam. Michael Buyze, L.Ac. Guest guest
Do you have any formly training in Japanese acupuncture? If so, where? I did not realize the numerous applications of moxibustion. Can you explain how Japanese moxibustion differs from TCM use of moxibustion?
