Guest guest
****Many families are forced to evacuate and are unable to take their pets. The American Humane Association rescues and cares for these animals until they can be reunited with their families. To donate or help in any way: http://www.americanhumane.org ***Noah's Wish What Is Noah's Wish? Noah's Wish is a not-for-profit, animal welfare organization, with a straightforward mission. We exist to keep animals alive during disasters. Noah's Wish is always prepared to help animals in the following ways. Precautionary Evacuation of Animals Noah's Wish will mobilize volunteers to help evacuate animals when people are being told to prepare for possible evacuations. It is really important at this point to move large animals out of the area as well as large numbers of animals located on the same property. These types of evacuations can take a great deal of time and it's better to start moving these animals before evacuations become mandatory. Mandatory Evacuations A mandatory evacuation means the situation has reached a life threatening level. If an animal care giver cannot evacuate their own animals, Noah's Wish volunteers will help because the agencies assisting with evacuating people do not have the time or space in their vehicles to transport animals. They help in many more ways...
