Guest guest
Dear Group, >Middlekauff's team tested 14 critically ill heart failure patients who had no hope other than a transplant. One third got acupuncture at traditional acupuncture sites. Another group was given ``non-acupoint'' acupuncture in which needles were placed at sites not traditionally believed to be useful in acupuncture, and a third group had a ``no-needle'' simulation of the treatment, in which a needle holder is taped to the back of their neck, but no needle was inserted. Jean:I think this is not good example of research. 1.the sample is too small.14/3=4.3 in each group. (my mathmatic is not good, but this is simple to count) 4 people can't present all heart faliured patients. 2.they didn't mentioned which points they acupuntured, and how long or how many times? How long dose the patient survival after acupuncture? 3.the points blind acupuncture group did.same questions as above.Which points they blind acupuntured? 4.What did they do for third group after the experiment?,if patients known they didn't get well treatment during the experimental period, how will they thinkand react? I am sorry I have to mention this.Human life is so valued. Jean ===== -------------------------------- < ¨C¤Ñ³£ ©_¼¯ > www..tw
Guest guest
I'm looking for acupuncturists in CA that would be willing to collaborate in a study on the psychological aspects of acupuncture. I am writing my dissertation on the experiences that people have during acupuncture treatment. I'm looking for people who use acupuncture for treatment of HIV/AIDS, and would like to interview them and their acupuncturists. If you would like to get more info, please email me at AcupunctureStudy. or to the above email (Participants will be conpensated for their time. ) THANKS Yaron Pruginin, MA
