http://www.NaturalNews.com/z024311.htmlWinning the War on Food (Part 2): Mass Irradiation of Produceby Neil McLaughlin (see all articles by this author)(NaturalNews) In the old days the worst thing to have in your garden was insects. Today there is a far more serious threat: government bureaucrats. Last April, Mike Adams (aka the "Health Ranger") was among the first to predict that the U.S. government (aka the "Wealth Ranger") would soon attempt mass irradiation of produce. Unfortunately that prediction was accurate as the FDA has since approved irradiation of spinach and iceberg lettuce, with peppers and tomatoes possibly next. Ultimately their goal seems to be the irradiation of all produce. This is for the safety of the people of course (namely the financial safety of the people who own stocks in the nuclear waste industry). As this article along with part 3 will detail, this legislation combined with the police state measures put in place via the "Patriot" Act means consumers nationwide (if not worldwide) are about to lose their right to even nourish themselves. It is important to quickly summarize several issues related to food and politics in order to help the reader understand why it is essential for consumers to avoid mass irradiation of produce:Food PricesWe are currently experiencing the first world food shortage since the 1970's, manipulated in part by inflation of the U.S. dollar and consolidated corporate control of food supplies. Normally during a food shortage, a responsible government would recommend that its citizens plant "Victory Gardens" and utilize every square foot of possible space to grow food. This helps control food prices while nourishing the citizens and soldiers. Instead, the U.S. government is handing control of food and water over to corporations (who can't even provide clean water for soldiers or citizens in Iraq) and limiting citizens access to either. As food prices skyrocket, food processors are seeing windfall profits. Meanwhile the Federal Reserve keeps printing money (the actual amount of which is now secret) that causes prices to increase via inflation (supply and demand laws apply to paper money -- if there are twice as many dollars then everything will cost twice as much). You can protect yourself (initially) against skyrocketing food prices when you purchase in bulk, shop at farmers markets, buy local and organic if possible and try to plant your own garden.Corn for BiofuelIn recent years, several hundred square feet of corn per person in the U.S. was converted from food-grade to fuel-grade corn. Now that there is a food shortage, it is revealed that producing biofuel uses more energy than it gives back. This process effectively forces the taxpayers to pay to destroy their own food at a time when they need it most. Avoid purchasing biofuel if possible.Canada's C51 LegislationCanada is basically seeking to make it illegal for citizens to have a garden, controlling all plants as "prescribed foods" and requiring citizens to have a license just to give herbs away. Distributing produce without a license would subject the farmer to a $250,000 fine and imprisonment (far worse than distributing illegal drugs, and along the slippery slope of allowing any natural substance control). All vitamins will be controlled in the same manner, requiring a prescription. Given the nature of World Government, which is to impose the lowest common denominator of any country on every country, the U.S. may soon adopt similar legislation. Visit (www.stopc51.com) for more.European Cosmetic Produce LawsIn Europe, corporations have imposed ridiculous restrictions on produce, saying bananas must be curved and cucumbers must be straight, and even going so far as to force one farmer to discard thousands of Kiwis because they were one millimeter too small. The farmer was not even allowed to give the Kiwi away as not upset the profits of the corporations selling legally sized Kiwis. This is to keep people safer of course (that is, the handful of people who own those corporations).Irradiation of ProduceIrradiation does not mean giving carrots a chest X-Ray. It means the vegetables are actually exposed to nuclear radiation, they are physically placed near toxic nuclear waste. Irradiating everyone's food is like setting off a nuclear weapon without damaging the land. It only damages the people who eat the food, and since people are what they eat, mass irradiation is effectively like slow-nuking the citizens. Are we supposed to believe that the same FDA who turns a blind eye to pharmaceuticals killing hundreds of thousands of people suddenly cares about preventing another 3 people dying from Salmonella? Instead of washing the fecal matter off the vegetables with clean water, they are asking citizens to instead pay them to nuke the poop until it is "no longer harmful". They pretend the nutritional value of the produce will be somehow spared in the process. Now, the nuclear waste management industry is lobbying to irradiate everything. As with every single other form of tyranny, this is "to make us safer" and is expected to be accepted wholeheartedly by the masses.Irradiation is unnatural and destroys the delicate phytonutrients in food, reducing or eliminating their medicinal value and eventually sending people to the doctor (i.e. grave). Just like pasteurizing all milk and almonds prevents anyone from experiencing their true benefits, irradiation of produce destroys the main health components. This "logic" is about the same as saying "bullets have been found to kill bad guys, so to reduce people's exposure to bad guys, the FDA recommends the mandatory shooting of bullets into all crowds of people".The real problems, which of course they fail to address, are both the lack of clean water for crop irrigation (70% of U.S. cities use raw sewage) and the lack of sanitation facilities for field workers in Mexico. NAFTA's idea of "fair" means every farmer should have the same number of outhouses, namely zero. Buy organic to avoid irradiated produce.Codex AlimentariusRegarding the attempt to irradiate all produce, the process officially becomes law in 2009 according to Codex Alimentarius (Latin for "Corporate Anuses"). Formed decades ago with good intentions, Codex is now even more corporatized than College Football and plans on forcing the world to succumb to the profit-minded whims of agribusiness. This means not only irradiation of all produce (even "organic") but also using rBGH (Recombinant Bovine Growth Hormone) on all meat, requiring RFID tracking on every animal (and possibly every human), and the reintroduction of pesticides so deadly that even the FDA banned them. Basically, Codex makes into law whatever makes the most money for a bunch of random people who (through their own nefarious means) happen to be in power. Regardless of what the government says is law, Natural Law states that humans have a right to grow and consume live, raw food. It is our duty to defy any nonsensical, greed-based "safety" laws.(To be continued...)References:Winning the War on Food: Sprouting Seeds and Saving Seeds (Part 1):(http://www.naturalnews.com/023278.html)C51 (Police State Bill):(http://danieltowsey.wordpress.com/2008/...)The Food Irradiation Plot:(http://www.naturalnews.com/023015.html)FDA Leaps from Tomatoes to Peppers (Failed Food Safety over Salmonella):(http://www.naturalnews.com/023614.html)FDA Unleashes Mass Irradiation:(http://www.naturalnews.com/023945.html)FDA Plots to Mislead Consumers of Irradiated Foods:(http://www.naturalnews.com/023956.html)Habeas Corpus Explained(http://habeascorpus.net/asp/)Farmer forced to discard Kiwi:(www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2199214/EU-rul...),_.___ «¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»§ - PULSE ON 21st CENTURY ALTERNATIVE MEDICINE! §Subscribe:......... - «¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»¥«¤»§«¤»
