Yesterday, our local ABC News affiliate, KTRK-TV, had one of its award-winning news reporters BLASTING the federal authorities on-the-air for denying the media physical access to specific locations. Media reporters came here from all over the world to cover this huge news story, and their time is totally being wasted with this decision to prevent their exposure to what is actually happening. WHY do this? The FAA was even involved by not allowing major network news helicopters to fly over and photograph/film certain areas of severe damage. COME ON! How else can a person photograph flooded areas with debris-clogged roads and waterways? We have been told, by the controlled media, that only a handful of people are dead so far. Can you tell me where you get your info to support the claim that thousands are dead? I actually believe you more than the media because I am here, reading a lot of local blogs. People are talking about what really happened. Sadly, the media personnel were "taken over" by the federal guys. Who gave them this authority? Dear Gigi,

 

I don't know whether its a blackout or that the election news has

just taken " front seat " . I have a sister and a close friend that

live in Houston. I have gotten reports from them that are truely

horrifying. Some areas of the city still don't have their electricity

turned on. I think there is a media blackout because of all the bad

press for Bush and FEMA from Katrina. I think because of the election

that the " spin " jockeys (for both parties) have heavy handed the

Houston, Galveston, Bolivar disaster. I have heard nothing of the

other places Ike hit, like coastal Louisiana. My friend emailed me

pictures today. The devestation of Houston and Galveston was tragic.

My sister talked with a tugboat captain yesterday. The hazadous waste

clogging the Houston shipping channel is so bad, that this captain &

crew had to wear hazmat suits. They are also using cadaver dogs on

Bolivar and according to one of her friends on the team, they have

uncovered 152 bodies. No wonder people don't trust the government. dak

If there are no bodies then insurance companies dont have to pay

life insurance benefits.I wonder how many people really died 9-11 in

the wealtiest part of the world,some would have multimillion dollar

life insurance policies.Katrina I recall reading eyewitness accounts

of hundreds of dead bodys floating in the water.Since government

pensions are invested in wall street it would be benefical for the

sharks to eat the dead so a fortune 500 company is off the hook and

does not have to pay a life insurance policy,BETTER BOTTOM LINE.
