Guest guest
I got this tip from my son who fixes computers. Go to your address book and start a 'new contact' - then type AAAAAAAAAA as the name and fill in all the blanks with the 10 A's... Close it and it will help protect your friends in the addy book. When a virus enters your PC, it usually goes to the address book and infects your contacts. If it hits the 10 A's it becomes confused as that won't compute, and it is foiled! At least that's how he explained it to me. He also uses this " free " virus program on his PC. It can be downloaded from this site. http://www.grisoft.com/ He claims it will find viruses the rest will overlook. Of course use caution in opening attachments. Best not to unless you know the sender... ~away
Guest guest
I actually had a virus once sent to everyone in my address book and then I used the technique you are talking about and never had anything like that happen again because it can not attach itself.
