some crystal advice please.........

Dear Crystal Folk

 

I recently joined this wonderful because I

am in my second year of doing a Professional Diploma

in Crystal Healing Therapies.

 

One of the questions in this months homework requires

me to design and create a consultation for new &

existing clients. Therefore, I was wondering if

anyone could supply me with examples or ideas for how

to go about achieving this.

 

So far I have gathered some ideas but it would be nice

to hear from more established and up and running

practioners.

 

I would appreciate any advice and thank you in advance

for taking the time to read this email.

Well, what can I say. This was one of my first

responses, from someone within the crystal healing

email group:

Crystal vibrations of that karma, in my view go

against the whole ethos of the healing realm.

 

If the person who wrote this, read my email properly,

they will have realised that I was asking for advice

in order to expand my learning. In the hope that I

might connect with people willing to share there

knowledge and experience as practising therapists.

Not to get people to do my homework for me!

 

I have done plenty of reseasrch towards creating my

own consultation - and my email acted as part of this.

 

 

In addition, I rather don't believe in shoulds and

shouldn'ts, so the suggestion that I should have

already mapped a consultation doesn't even come into

quesation, because the structure of my course is as it

is.

 

 

Just wondering if I should unsuscribe from this site

or perhaps not allow one person to bother me so

negatively?

have done at any given point in life.

I don't anyone was being asked to do work for anyone else no matter how

far along we are with our plans and studies it is always a good idea so

seek information and advice and evaluate options .

I don't know what the current astrological influences are but I've

noticed a trend on several lists to be more critical and judgmental

than usual . I hope we can remind ourselves to stay in a place of

loving kindness and concentrate on sharing information and experiences

without being judgmental . Also I Generally suggest that we only use

endearments such as " Honey " on the group when we are actually saying

something affectionate .

Good point Peggy. I'll let you know that we are currently in the Ash Moon (I

follow the Celtic Tree Calendar). One of the characteristics for the Ash moon

(on the negative side) is that our emotions are flooding over right now.

Everyone around me has been on the war path... myself included... holy cow the

last two weeks have been hell. The lesson of Ash is patience. The previous

moon, Rowan, prepared us for the spring. The Earth in her great wonder is

beginning to awake. The month of Ash, however, she is still in the sleepy state

not ready to get out of bed. So with patience things will get better.

Understanding what's going on does help a lot. Next month, things in all our

lives and around us will start moving a little bit quicker... promise )

I admit that I generally work without a net. often doing demo work

in groups or online and don't usually have forms and such . I try

sometimes to be all official and keep client records and such but

usually it just does not happen . My practice is generally more along a

holistic ministry than health professional vibe .

But offhand generally besides names and reason for coming and a

very soft medical /emotional history ( I don t ask people when they had

there last period for example unless it directly applies to the reason

for the consultation) I include a standard disclaimer and advise that

crystal healing does not substitute for medical treatment but

compliments it . Along the lines of the ubiquitous If this is a medical

emergency call 911 announcements .

It helps to know if people have prior experience with crystal healing

or energy work or meditation etc.

 

Its a good idea to have some text about what it is you do and don't do

just ti give folks an idea of what to expect. I also have a form that

mentions that energy work is done clothed and there is no sexual

contact, because I have encountered clients who have met people who

use energy work ,massage , or crystal healing as a cover for sexual

predation.

Generally , particularly if people come because they are feeling

depressed I like to know what has been going on in their lives because

a lot of folks have perfectly good reasons to be depressed which they

are not taking into account.

Getting this info ahead of time takes care of the No brainers ( You

are tired all the time because you have six kids , three jobs and are a

part time student plus... )or ( both your parents died in the last 6

weeks, your house burned down , your spouse eloped with the avon

Lady , your kid stole your truck and traded it for cocaine and you don't

know why you're depressed ?) .

 

Its kind of nice to have a little note of what stones you used or

suggested written down to give the person and one for you records if

you keep them . I know, probably one " should " keep records but I tend

to work with people who are very leery of the clinical structure . (

and I have a bit of a hang up about it myself)

 

Anyway hope this helps in some way

matter of fact, I told my husband your question about crystal advice and what

not (from your first post). He and I were discussing some things so I could

post back to you. ) So please don't leave. Your knowledge is SOOOOO

valuable, and I know, not only to me.

Emma,

lst let me say I am sending you tons of love. Every experience is an

opportunity for growth. Negative ones along with the positive ones. You know

what made you respond in the way you did (hurt). When I have a negative

reactiion to something, I try to go within to find out why I responded with

negative feelings instead of light and love. When I find it, and most often I

do, I feel the hurt and what caused it and move on (hopefully not destined to

feel it again). Then I meditate and send love and light to the source of my

anger (hurt). That way I feel I am trying hard to live what I believe in.

 

I hope my experience has helped in some small way.
