Introduction / more on singing bowls

Welcome and greetings, Wendy.

I have a quick question for you about your singing bowls. As you may have read, I have a 12" bowl tunes to the heart chakra. I have been pondering the idea of 'stacking' bowls of different sizes inside one another and playin them like that. Have you ever tried this? If you do try it, BE CAREFUL though as I'm not sure what kind of structural stresses that would place on them. It may well shatter them. I know a lady who shattered a 10" bowl because she struck and toned it at a time when she was angry. Nonetheless it would be an interesting thing to try.

Eventually I would like to attempt to take a photo of the bowl being toned with a bit of water inside it. There is a very interesting phenomena which happens, where the resonant vibrations travel through the water visibly. It's so wild!!!!! One can actually see these crystalline formations within the water itself from the vibration. And lemme tell ya... this is THE best way I know of to make charged water. And very highly charged water at that!

Introduction

Greetings to Everyone! I thought I would drop in a short introduction as we get started here.

I am a Goddess pagan, not traditionally Wiccan, although sometimes I come darned close. I am married (28 yrs)to my best friend and love of many lifetimes. It's not always be easy but we have grown together, twisted and bent sometimes, but always coming back together in full awareness of love. We have one adult daughter. Four cats currently own us. I like the creative inspiration of Sark, play with rubber stamps and polymer clay. I am a Reiki level 2 practioner. I love the energies of sound. I have been blessed with 2 quartz crystal singing bowls. I think my life, this time around, is all about healing and breaking cycles. I believe that at any given moment in time, you are exactly where you are intended to be, even though sometimes it's a scary or painful place.

My crystal knowledge is limited, but they have been calling to me over the last couple of years. My grandfather started an appreciation for crystals and stones in me as a small child and I have been rediscovering them. I am very interested in learning more about listening to the crystals an using them in healing and visionary exploration.

I've recently moved to a small town in Texas from Atlanta. Anyone here in the Ft. Worth area? I am west of there about 40 miles. I'd like to find some like minded folks here!
