Guest guest
1. Find the rock, stone or crystal you have that attracts you most at the moment and look at it use all of your senses to explore it (except taste some stones are poisonous) and write about it and what you experience with it , what attracts you to it now. I recently acquired a beautiful quartz barnacle crystal. It is quite large and as soon as I saw it on ebay I just had to get it. Fortunately it didn't go too high. I have uploaded a picture to the Files section here for you to see. It's an amazing Arkansas AAA grade clear quartz. Photo is poor but this is a twin point, and there are lots of smaller crystal points growing from the main body of the crystal, one of which is double terminated and there are several rainbows in the structure. Over the top of the large one are many small needles and double terminations. This stone sings. It has so much history that I never tire of looking at it. I can sense that there are messages and that stone has seen many aeons during it's growing time. I feel it is a like a city where many decades of life have moved through it. Rainbows sparkle and appear to be powering the stone and it seems to me as if it might have been used for directing energy for some ancient machinery. As I am looking at it now I am getting the feeling that somehow it was used in the cleansing of foodstuffs??? Now where did that come from?? I know that I have a lot to learn from this beautiful crystal and am only touching the edge now. 2. Just off hand from what you know right now what stone would you keep if you could only have one? It has to be Rose Quartz - it has all the qualities that I aspire to. 3 .. Go outside or somewhere where there are rocks, stones ,pebbles and find one just a plain ordinary wild rock in the street that attracts you in some way and study it look and meditate on it and describe it tell us what you think about it. Do you get any sense of what it could be used for ? where its been ? I went down my garden to my old Breton bread oven, the outside of which is covered in large granite rocks. The interior is a perfect dome into which the villagera of 50 years and more past would place their uncooked bread usually on a Monday. The oven would be filled with faggots of wood and as soon as the stones turned red these would be removed and uncooked bread would be slid in on long handled trays. One of the outside stones in particular always attracts me because of its formation and the streaks of coppery orange running through it. The quartz sparkles in it as do many of the rocks around our property. This stone has seen many people since it was set into the oven and so I stood listening to it today. It gave me images of elderly folk mainly wearing black and some with the white lace bonnets typical of this area. Young mothers with a babies on their arms and a baguette wrapped in white cloth, gossiping with each other. Some have just come up from the market and are showing one another jewellery trinkets they have bought - a new earthenware cup for baby - some linen to make a skirt. They chatter - this is a good place to meet - the bread smells good. I can't make out their words as they speak only breton. Today the sun shines so some are sitting on the wall nearby waiting for their bread to be ready. Others go home to tend their vegetable plots. My stone tells me that it is glad to be able to see the sun again after being covered in brambles for so many years. Will I use the oven ? I think not. Apart from the expense of filling it with wood - it has too many old stories in it's memories and I don't want to overlay these with modernity. I have placed some crystals in the entrance now and one of my favourite Buddhas. A spider has made me a lovely pattern across the entrance and the rocks are shining in the sunshine. All's well with my oven and the stones that protect it. I feel their benevolence. crystal blessings Karen
Guest guest
Hello Karen, Greetings from Holland. I was wondering about stones you mentioned because I didn't realize what chrystals or stones can do and now I have the possibility to learn more about it. As a nangpa (=insider/buddhist) I use/wear every day my lucky bracelets because they have a 'symbolic' meaning & I like the purity of stones & I appreaciate the gifts of Mother Earth. On my left I use the bracelet made of Rose Quartz and on my left two bracelets made of Lapis Lazuli & Turqoise. After my attunement in reiki 2/my teacher gave me as a symbolic - buddhist - gift a dorje made of mountain chrystal. Then I looked around me at home and saw hanging in front of the windows on the south side of my livingroom, my two quartz chrystal balls (Feng Shui) made from chrystal too. You can see a lot of colours of the rainbow in it blue/turqoise/red/green/yellow unfortunately don't know the other colours in english.... It is looking on the brilliant colours of the world. What do you think can I use them or has it to be real stones/rocks... to be bought in a kind of new age shop??? Willingly to buy what is necessary for a starter. (I have already bought an dutch-english/english dutch dictionary) Peace, love & light be with you & yours Costavina --- anandareiki wrote: > > > > > > 1. Wearing jewelry such as your bracelets is an excellent way to work with stone energy and the crystal Dorje I've " met " have been wonderful tools for their " owners " in theory the Fung shue crystals will work if they are real quartz Fung shue often uses lead crystal (manmade) which does not traditionally have a use in crystal healing although I have known a woman who could scry -read a manmade crystal ball as well as a quartz ball and if your Fung shue crystals are those faceted sun catchers that cast rainbows and light over the room then those rainbows are and light is healing and uplifting of itself and they do a great job used as fung shue cures . As for where to get stone you definitely do not have to buy them in new age stores get them where you find them but they tend to be less expensive at lapidary stores and odd places like pet stores (in the fish section) keep an eye out you will be surprised at where they can show up.
