Guest guest
My 2 1/2 year old daughter has been suffering with eczema for almost 7 months. Not bad but persistent. Dry scaly small bumps. The MD has suggested that it would go away (naturally) and suggested various over the counter creams instead of soap when bathing and to keep the skin from drying. Also suggested Hydrocortisone which I finally started using last month. Worked right away to relieve itching and reduce the redness and broken skin from the scratching mostly at night. However the eczema is still present and I do not want to continue its use. I also tried the Zinc and other OTC remedies. I needled Spleen 10 and Large Intestine 11. Needless to say she objected. I purchased a Laser Pen 3.5 mW. and was thinking about using it on the following points: Spleen 6 & 10, Large Intestine 11, Bladder 40 (behind the knee) Stomach 36. Is it OK to Laser the rash itself? Any ideas or suggestions. She is intrigued with the light To Your Health, Ed Kasper LAc. edkasper
Guest guest
I totally agree that cortisone is bad. Yet she has had this condition for 7-8 months and it was getting worse. At first only very minor "dry skin" her scratching would break the skin. Because the skin became broken other creams - like zinc would burn her and she would cry. The cortisone was soothing and need serve to offer the relief the boy needed to regain some of its balance. When I resort to methods such as this I justify it as treating the acute first giving time to focus on the chronic underlying disorder. I agree cortisone will drive it deeper but one has to live the day. geovani [inandor]Monday, March 06, 2000 12:13 AMacupuncture Subject: Re: acupuncture Low of cure"geovani" <inandor Ed Kasper <edkasper My 2 1/2 year old daughter has been suffering with eczema for almost 7 months. It is a very efective way to push the desiese to the lungs and other more important organs. Stop it!!!!! The corticoids are realy very efective, they act very quikly to supress external manifestations! Traditional western doctors are too short sighted to see this obvious fact about the corticoids. Every homeopath is familiar with the nefastuous efects of corticoids. For how long have you used them? Is the case of you doughter "athopic dermatitis"? It is caracterised by eruptions near the bends of limbs, behind elbows, behind knees. Through the hidrocortison into the trash!!!! If the manifestations have already been supressed, we'll have to find a way to bring them back.... My doughter had "athopic dermatitis" - she has none today. We may talk later. Don't even keep that cortison in some box - out with it!!!!! Enter:

Yet she has had this condition for 7-8 months and it was getting worse. geovani> In most of the cases it is the way the body manages to get rid of agressive agents, that otherwise would go to the lungs, causing things like asthma, bronquitis, and other lung afections So....the idea is not to keep in mind that usualy skin manifestations indicate a healthy defense sistem. One may take time into looking for the real cause, and avoid supression. Try to use moisturing creams meanwile... At first only very minor " dry skin " her scratching would break the skin. If you could send me some information about her I can give you the name of an homeopathic remedy, that she could take in one single dose. No harm may result. - Is her complexion fat or thin? Don't give me her weight, Ed, because I don't havea chart . - location of the eruptions - nature of the eruptions (moisture, dry, itchy etc...) -Is she an active kind of child or more to the " mild " side? regards geovani
Guest guest
I use a plum blossom needle for kids (aka seven star hammer). I draw a face over the point, and get them to bash it on the nose (so much for pacifism); or get them to blow a huge raspberry while the needle goes in, if plum blossom doesn't seem strong enough treatment. All the kids I've treated have been fine with this. Amanda
