Ladies and Gentlemen:

While at the Vitamin Shoppe on yesterday I noticed a news letter of sorts on the checkout counter. As I read it it became clear that what we discussed 18 months ago, and what we have had subsequent discussons about is in fact under consideration in the United States Senate chambers.

Senator Richard Durbin, of Illinois has introduced this bill to give broader controls of nutritional supplements to the Food and Drug Adminstration, U.S. Department of Agriculture. A review of the Vitamin Shoppes' web site at www.vitaminshoppe.com/ will provide all of the details, as well as links to get organized at the grassroots level and to counteract this intrusive legislation.
