Guest guest
Has anyone heard of Dr Kelly who recommends these to releive the body of toxins? It also stimulates the GB to dump more toxins. http://educate-yourself.org/cancer/kellysmetabolictherapy.shtml
Guest guest
I am not familiar with Dr. Kelly, but I know that coffee enemas have been around for Hundreds of years. They were even listed in the Merch manual, for detoxification. The only problem that I have had with coffee enemas is that they will wipe out your intestinal flora if they are used for extended periods of time. -- Donald E. Guest guest
I would have a problem with somebody using enemas of any kind for an extended period of time. I should say that they would have a problem. A very physical problem of training the colon to not work on its own. Why not just eat correctly? Save the enemas for an emergency. Ed Donald E. Guest guest
I agree with Ed on this – I think an enema is usually not necessary. Correct the problem through what goes into your mouth. Create an inner terrain with lots of good bacteria, and your colon will work properly. Guest guest
They are used only for emergencies! As in the referenced article by Dr. Kelly, on detoxifying from cancer treatments, the enemas could go on for quite a while, since the detoxification process will be quite long. The same thing is true of the use of vitamins, minerals, herbs, food supplements, etc. They all can be toxic if used indiscriminately for a long time. Did my post suggest the anything else?????? -- Donald E. Guest guest
Carol, You missed the point of the coffee enema. You might want to reread the Dr. Kelly article, which explains why they are used. -- Donald E. Guest guest
After having read the article, I see that, as you are claiming, they are used in emergency. I have some experience with several people who take daily enemas, and express verbally the benefits of the enemas, making claims of higher energy, less nausea after eating, etc.etc. But as I observe them, I have a hard time imagining people with less energy. And these same people maintain a diet with many, very rigorous restrictions. I don’t recall reading in the article that there were supplements, or actual foods used, that would replant the intestinal flora in addition to the coffee enemas that would destroy that same flora. I liked what I had read relating Dr. Kelly’s approach to curing cancer. And the idea of the daily coffee enemas while being repugnant to me, could be necessary in the overall approach. Nor would one be able to say that there are not possible oral treatments of various herbs that couldn’t accomplish the same thing, while passing through the digestive system in the normal manner. But, perhaps those things have not been tried. One would not wish to try them as the person who is on the course of treatment could be put at risk by trying something outside of the treatment, although, again, there may be things that would work, although untested. I’d also like to know, perhaps somebody on the list would know, whether or not people who have been healed of their cancers in this way have continued with the coffee enemas the rest of their lives, or even with the daily regimen of all the vitamins, minerals, etc.etc. If following the proper diet, for one’s own individuality, there would only be need for certain supplements that one could be made aware of if one’s own body did not actually operate in a fully functional manner due to previous damage, or genetic damage. Diet from whole foods is not alone the answer to health when one is considering present possibilities of genetic insufficiencies and damage from past lifestyle, or therapies (including damage from pursuing the wrong diet, the wrong “medicines” like chemo and radiation, etc.). My own thought is that somebody who has been healed of the cancer using the Kelly regimen, could discontinue parts of it, while monitoring the state of things (like the coffee enemas which have the use of ridding the body of broken down tumor debris and would not have utility for that purpose once the tumors were removed), and could maintain their health through the use of diet alone, unless there was present some one or other organic deficiencies in their body’s functioning. Would there happen to be a network of doctors who use Dr. Kelly’s system? Anybody know. It would be useful to know in order to refer people to them. Ed Donald E. Guest guest
The point with coffee enemas is NOT to get " your colon [to] work properly. " It is to detox the liver and should only be used when such detox is necessary. >I agree with Ed on this - I think an enema is usually not necessary. Guest guest
That is EXACTLY right! Don't confuse the coffee with other enemas used for other purposes. -- Donald E.
