I am proof positive that more calcium

supplements and more dairy don’t help with keeping your bones healthy. When I had my first bone scan about 10

years ago, my results were that I had osteopenia,

which is not quite osteoporosis, but getting close to it. I was already

drinking 3 big glasses of milk a day, eating ice cream and cheese, and taking calcium

supplements. There really wasn’t

much more that I could do – even though the doctor told me to add

more calcium and drink more milk.

So I decided to do an experiment, and

go completely the opposite of what the doctor was saying. I eliminated my calcium

supplements, I eliminated dairy, and I eliminated meat –

well, I do eat meat about 2-3 times a

month, and I do eat ice cream & cheese about that same amount also. I also added

whole food nutritional supplements – no more isolated nutrients, or synthetically made

vitamins. Well, it took a little

while, but after about 5-6 years, my bone scan showed that I have bones of a 25

year old (I’m 57). Your bones are made up of cells, just

like your other parts of your body – all cells. Cells renew themselves – some quicker

than others. Like cells in your

mouth get renewed about every day, cells in your bones take up to 4-5 years or

so. So if you feed your cells the

healthiest diet you can imagine, then your cells will be healthy. When they get replaced, they will be

replaced with healthy cells, not junk food cells. Meat is acid forming, and the only way

your body compensates, is with calcium –

your body pulls calcium from your bones and teeth to help digest all that

acid.

Osteoporosis

" The myth

that osteoporosis is caused by calcium deficiency was created to sell dairy

products and calcium supplements. There's no truth to it. American women are

among the biggest consumers of calcium in the world, and they still have one of

the highest levels of osteoporosis in the world. And eating even more dairy

products and calcium supplements is not going to change that fact.

Thanks for an eye opener of an article. I have stopped my milk intake.

But I have to take milk in tea because, according to Dr. Hulda Clark, black tea causes oxalic acid stones in kidneys. We need milk to dissolve away these type of stones.
