Guest guest
Barb...No, the product we use isn't Sea Silver. Although I've heard much good about Sea Silver, it's an entirely different product. Also...it does not contain the fucans and fucoidan found in the nectar we use. I don't believe Sea Silver is availabe right now...they're having trouble with the FTC for non-compliance of regulations. Anyway....What we use is called Royal Tongan Limu...it is the brown seaweed " limu moui " aka angel hair, mozuku & nano. It grows off the coast of the Tongan Islands. It's fairly new on the " health " scene, was introduced a little over 2 yrs. ago. We're thrilled with the results we've seen. Healthy, Happy Blessings! Guest guest
Cheryl, Eating sea vegetables is a standard part of the macrobiotic diet. They provide a great source of minerals in the balance that the human body needs them, as well as other nutrients. Food supplements made from sea vegetables are processed, so I would suspect that there is some loss compared to eating dried sea vegetables as part of a meal, but are much better than supplements that are not made from whole foods. I read something about the complexpolysaccharides called fucans and fucoidan, but I can't remember where. I thought it had to do with colon health. -- Donald E. Guest guest
Barb, I think it’s the aphanizominon flos aquae – blue-green algae – that is the most nutrient dense sea vegetable – check this out – www.bluegreensolutions.com – they have the encapsulated bga.
