A view from the other side:

rusty.

Page torn from bin Laden's diary.

Dec 31, 1999.

Dear Diary:

As I look around at my starving impoverished people, I swear I'll make

some significant changes in the new century.

While my people suffer, vast riches are pulled from mother earth below and

shared with a few of my rich brethren and the rest of the well to do world.

If I could only find a way to have the U.S. and the rest of the rich nations

to swing their full attention our way and to help us and our brothers in

Pakistan and the rest of Islam, by dropping us some food, dismissing

billions of dollars in debt, to pour more millions into our infrastructure,

to help stave off a nuclear confrontation with India over the Kashmir and to

seriously address the Palestine situation, then my life would be fulfilled.

If I could accomplish this in a month's time then I'll gladly give my life

to the cause.

Excuse me. Are we not talking about a millionaire or is it billionaire here?

And I wonder how and where

and from whom he made all that money.

additionally, why is this being sent to this list? i fail to see the bodymind

focussed correlation and i seem

to recall caroline requesting that this remain a place safe from the war spam.

if something current event

related is going to be sent to this list, i would feel much more comfortable

about it if it was relevant, and

if it's purporting something as fact, wouldn't it be best if it came from a

reliable source with references

and such? we don't need to be a part of perpetuating urban legends and rumors in

this forum, i like to think

of us as a bit more responsible than that.

Is this really a true letter from his diary or is it just a sympathetic

guess as to what he's thinking?
