Guest guest Posted August 9, 2001 Report Share Posted August 9, 2001 Greetings to all, My father had a pancreatic surgery(7 hour) 14 days ago.They took out the timor.Everything went fine(I mean no surgery troubles) till last Friday.What happened is that now his stomach is not working... Still having complications, Doctors prefer to wait if his stomach become reactivated.I didn`t see him since last Wednesday. My sister says he is totally depressed and tired and exhausted and nervous. we are afraid of another surgery possibility which do shelter risks Let`s pray for Selim Pinhas for my wonderful dad.What I want from him is to gain the strength and hope for everything I `m also practising Reiki.I finished level 2 long distance healing part, symbols .But I really failed, he doesn` t receive that energy at all.My husband sends it.Failed .Maybe I couldn`t concenrate enough.. Either there are old blocks in the way, or conflicting desires/beliefs, or an unconscious (or even a conscious) decision to *not* receive. All you can do is offer the energy, you can't make it be received. I know it must be so hard: feeling like you are helpless to help someone you love - and want to be well, so desperately. We are often hampered by the fact that our intentions get in the way of the overall course of what " is " . We are often more successful if we just send energy to another person to be utilized as their system needs it, and not for our own agendas, no matter how altruistic or positive we imagine that to be. So let go of the outcomes and just keep sending love and energy. If your father is open to receiving energy then his system will use it for what he needs to use it for; that may be physical, emotional, or spiritual, and we can't judge that. Healing comes on many levels and does not always equal physical cures. Our perspective may be limited but the universe is not. We have to learn to trust that what happens is ultimately what is supposed to happen, or we will be buried in frustration, anger and guilt when we do not get what we think we should when we try hard. Part of our fear of disease comes from fear of loss, and even when people transition out of their bodies they are never lost to us. My stepfather passed away from pancreatic cancer two years ago in October. It was a long and difficult process for him, my mother and his family. Help your father to learn to appreciate living in the moment; miracles can happen, yes. But sometimes the miracles are not cures, they are as simple and profound as resolution of relationship issues and peace with their soul. These are not small things. Hope is composed of trust that everything will be as it should be, not of expectation that things will be as we desire them to be.
