Guest guest
I plan on beginning a journal, but find my fingers too slow to write as fast as the thoughts come. Does anyone know of a good computer programmed journal? I would like something I could get creative with clipart and fonts. Guest guest
Hi Norma: I have not heard of such an animal, but would be curious about that kind of software myself, as I have a strong interest in expressive therapies, specifically journaling. Have you tried voice activated software, the kind like is used for dictation? Something that you could speak into might help you get your thoughts out better than typing. It is an interesting phenomenon that we have to cross over to the left brain to type, while our creativity is emerging from the right brain; sometimes our ideas frizzle on the way across. Verbal language causes less of a shift. For some, handwriting is also useful; if you are setting up a journal in your computer and want to hand write the pages, I might suggest a toy that my husband bought for me, called a " CrossPad " which records your handwritten and drawn material and uploads to your computer. It can be taught how to recognize your handwriting and translate it to type, or can be left alone, something I'd suggest might be more " interesting " in a journal. There are also stylus pads that are created to work directly into the computer if you like the idea but plan to do all your journaling at home. The plus of the CrossPad is its portability. This is the second time in as many days that journaling has been brought up, and I am realizing that I have been neglecting mine... so it's time to play for awhile. Good luck with yours! Guest guest
Thank you so much for the suggestions, I find that I haven't been journaling enough because I don't like to write. But I can type and my mind seems to fly. I just wish there was something already organized. If I find something I will let you know, In love and light Norma
