Hmmm. Louis Hay says psoriasis is related to deadening the senses & self for

fear of being hurt. Massage might be a good way to tell your mother she's

worth treating special, and to help reawaken her senses again. That is, if

Hay's definition fits.

I love working with Louis Hay's stuff. Does anybody else use her at all?

I don't know if any one else saw it last night, however, there was an

interesting clip last night on Animal Planet's " Animal X " show. It was

about a treatment for psoriasis in Turkey. It seems that they have a

species of fish that they call " doctor fish " which are used to treat

psoriasis. There are three distinct types of fish involved which work in

cooperation with one another. While the patient sits in the pool of water

containing the fish, one fish eats off the dis-eased flesh, one draws blood

to the now cleaned flesh and the third, I believe secretes saliva (?)

(caught this while I was doing something else) that then causes the wound to

heal free of the psoriasis. There was also some reference to the pools in

which these fish are found being sacred because of a specific event

mentioned in the bible but I missed out on the specifics on that.

While most of us can't afford to visit Turkey for treatment...a search of

the web for further information might provide some interesting information.

Susette:

I love Louise Hay's attitude and her work. " Heal Your Life " sits on my desk and

I use her affirmations with my clients, especially when a little humor or change

of perspective is needed.

" Hay House " is her official website, and houses her publishing house as well as

a monthly column from Louise. Here is a link to her page (specifically the

monthly column page):

Enjoy!

According to one of my teachers (Li Shao-Hua), fu xiao mai is more

astringent, and huai xiao mai is heavier, more nourishing and more calming.

She recommends huai xiao mai for the 'mai' in gan mai dao zao tang.
