Guest guest
Hi All - Speaking of flower essences, I just ordered one online that is absolutely right for me. What's more, I would never have chosen that particular one from the " conventional " checklist most sellers provide. Intuitive self-diagnosis works better for me than the rational self assessment kind, and the website I found provides both. Prices are reasonable . . . darn! I didn't bookmark it, so don't know the URL. But the company is called Whole Energy Essences. I'm sure you could do a search and find it (as I'm about to do, so I can bookmark it). Their email address is wessence Cheers - Susette

They all something unique to offer so I have found it wise to check through all of them when looking for an essence. There is the Alaskan Flower Essences company. They have both flower and gemstone essences as well as some very interesting enviromental essences. There is the Austrailian Bush Essence company who produces essenses native to Australia and makes some interesting combination formulas. There is FEP which has a wide range of flower essences and of course Bach which is the one that most of us know. All have distributors here in the states and so far, I have received excellent service from the ones I have used. I find that copying the information provided on their web sites and then using various books written on flower essences gives me a full picture of the essence's potential. Once I have narrowed the choices down to a few, then I use my pendulm to finish the task. Guest guest
Acupuncture should certainly help with this but without knowing all of his health picture it would be important for him to see a Western doctor to make sure that his medication is not part of the problem. Also if he is vomiting his blood ressure may be getting seriously out of whack. doug My father has been unable to keep anything down for the past week. If he tries to eat to quickly he vomits it back up. My mother had read somewhere that drinking a baking soda solution is good for this. It seems however, that this only made it worse. It also seems this raised the level of his potassium according to his physician. My father has hypertension and is on medication for this. I was wondering what acupuncture might be able to do about this. An asside: I was reading that PC-6 downbears counterflow and stops vomiting. I am not a student in TCM so I have only rudimentary knowledge of the theory of TCM and acupuncture.
Guest guest
Re: Re: TCM Digest 351 - cancer patient re: Tatiana's response to treatment of cancer patient My patient had a splenectomy very shortly after the lesion was found. I have been seeing this person for a few years for various things. I know how she reacts to a variety of treatments and the points I use are helpful for " her " . Each person needs to be looked at individually and each treatment may have its individual bend to it. In some cases I would not tonify stomach... in this case I did. The points I referred to were a " group of points " that I chose from dependent upon her presentation at the time of treatment. My intent is to build her blood and strengthen her immune system that is now at a disadvantage. I also have her do Tai Chi and as I said, keep a close eye on her diet. It is not at all obvious to me that one should not use moxa on the back shu - In Japanese style extraordinary vessel treatments that is always part of the treatment and is appropriate in some TCM treatment as well. You have piqued my curiousity...please elucidate the reason not to use moxa on back shu... do you mean only on cancer patients? Guest guest
> > Re: Re: TCM Digest 351 - cancer patient > I love doing moxa! But not to cancer patients. I made that decision 1)when I 've read in some Japanese research that moxibustion raises blood sugar level. Jinju Mizutani says the same thing. 2) Cancer cells prolifirate faster in " sweet environment " , additionally parasites (Gu) that may be (or may be not) the reason of the cancer, found in cancer patients multiply faster in that environment (look at web on cancer and parasites). Yes, by doing moxibustion in cancer patients we help them to feel better, we alleviate the current condition, but we are not addressing (really) the root of the disease. In my opinion, using moxing in cancer is almost like using Chai Hu for the treatment of hepatitis C which " will 'agitate the vitus' and caise the viral load to increase in response ... " (from Chinesemedicine-network forum). Treating cancer patients we have to look at their long term being, not just at what we see during the treatment session. To tonify we can use many different modalities (besides moxibustion), to control pain - same thing. I believe that moxibustion (my favorite tool!) can harm my cancer patients by making the cancer cells to prolifirate faster. Tonifying may help the organism to go back to a diseased state, because surgeries or chemothrepy do not really get rid off the sick condition... Applying the herbs and acupuncture according the diagnosis hopefully helps organism to get rid off the root of the disease. I may be very wrong, but my way of thinking helps me to believe that I am helping my patiens in a long term. DO WE HAVE A PLACE TO BE DOUBT dealing with the disease? That helps me to do alot of research for every of my patient.
