These are nice, simple, intellectual concepts. Very easy to

visualize. Very easy to set an INTENTION with.

AH HA! Without trying to re-invent the wheel . . . our teachers have been

helping us to set up our INTENTIONS.

Cool! But that doesn't mean the opposite doesn't work. Science is / has

been trying to prove we live in a linear universe . . . but more and more

people (and scientists) are figuring out that this is a limiting false

belief. (Look at Quantum mechanics and Quantum physics, power of Prayer,

Reiki etc etc)

And the reverse instructions work too, right? It's all about setting an

intention, dearest.

When I smudge myself, the room, and my clients . . . I intend to dispel any

confusion in and around us, to clear my intentions so as to come from a

pure, loving, detached place where Holy Spirit can flow through

unencumbered. Reiki symbols? --> Predetermined intentions set up to be

activated when a particular symbol is invoked. They are like training

wheels until you can do it through your intuition and " automatic "

intentions. (Japanese Reiki Practitioners don't use symbols, they are

considered " for beginners " )

Hang in there Glaucely, your belief systems are going to be shook up and

turned inside out many times as you learn more about Reiki and the

metaphysical universe. Your personal power, Self-Power, will increase as

each old limiting belief is replaced with Unconditional Love, Truth and

Awareness.

Enjoy!

Hi, my name is Mary Anne and I am new to the group. I have a question which may

seem a bit ridiculous but I read an article recently about how the water in the

toilet bowl goes down clockwise in North America and counterclockwise in South

America (or vice versa). I was just wondering if the hemispheres have such an

effct on the body as well?

Hi Mary Anne,

Welcome to the list :-)

Well, I'll admit, I had to go flush for this one :-)

North America - counterclockwise

Hmmm, so this makes me wonder...could this " flow " be why I was originally

taught that the (Reiki) energy flow is counterclockwise? Country of origin

for the system is northern hemisphere, so is Takata's home place...although

I cannot say that this teaching originated with them, just that it was

taught to me. I wonder if the system had originated in the southern

hemisphere we would have been taught that the flow is clockwise?

I remember in craniosacral class it being said that northern hemisphere

persons' bodies are generally rotated to the left, counterclockwise, and the

opposite for the southern hemisphere persons' bodies. With that in mind, it

would appear the different hemispheres do have an effect on the body.

Just thinkin' out loud :-)

It makes sense. Coriolis force acts on water and we're 79-80% water.

Ray,

That is interesting, it was just a shot in the dark I wasnt sure what kind of

answer Id get thinking the energy had something to do with the heart and turning

towards the left butI guess it has to do with our water content.

Mary Anne

I guess that brings up other issues of how we relate to the planets and moon

especially
