Guest guest
Thanks, Ray, Shane and Abs for the suggestions on Trust. I think it is interesting that two of you sent me the " falling back " exercise... did you know that the two most primal fears we have are of loud noises, and of falling? Mani and I have been having an ongoing philosophical discussion about this since the issue came up for me (this chapter has been on the back burner for a few months) and we have done a *lot* of talking about faith and trust, how they relate to each other, how the unwavering faith of childhood is usually shaken at some point by a breach of trust... and how we sometimes spend the rest of our lives trying to " get back to the garden " so to speak of innocence and unconditionality. I'm still working on developing an exercise to develop trust that can be practiced alone, as there are a lot of factors involved in the " falling " exercise, including being inaccessible for differently abled people. When the epiphany arrives (my muse might be slow but she always gets here) I'll let you know what has emerged. Ray, I really like the affirmations, they also support the concepts of humility and perspective. I think you meant " shared sorrow is lessened and shared joy is increased " though?
