Guest guest
Hello to all, I am a long time lurker, and seriously on a learning journey. Recently, I have become aware of when my consciousness is in expansion mode (changing old thought patterns) I am experiencing a corresponding physical expansion which I have to admit actually is almost painful. Has anyone experienced anything like this and if so, how did you cope with the corresponding uncomfortable physicality? My heart has been in a vise for such a long time that now that it is being allowed a chance to be free and I am finding it difficult to support myself in the midst of the physical (pressure) hurting. Thanks. Kim Boyes - Tzu Touch Massage Therapy and Somatic Practice " We are Spiritual Beings Having Human Experiences " spiritz
Guest guest
Hello Kim: I am very somatic in my emotional/spiritual experiences, as I believe many of us are, but we don't make the connections as such. In retrospect, I can relate changes to discomfort, disorder, accidents and illnesses that are understandable to me now, but were mostly annoyances at the time. Once, when I was having a lot of costochondritis (inflammation of the muscles between the ribs) that tightened up my chest and caused me shortness of breath and pain, the Universe sent me a new lover... and the effects of it were like a medicine to my body. My heart opened up, my lungs expanded, my endorphins kicked in and I even lost weight ;-) So we can't always find a new lover when we are experiencing grief or deep pain. But we can always remember love, and in renewing that body memory, enjoy some of its effects again. If we could live in that beautiful state all the time, I believe we wouldn't have to worry about getting sick at all <LOL> I read a quote the other day you may find relevant; since I can't recall it exactly I'll paraphrase it for you... basically the man said, that it is very easy to introduce new thoughts and ideas into a system; the hard part is releasing the old thoughts and patterns. So maybe you can imagine you are having a mental " give away " and that for every new gift, change or challenge you are given, your guides can take away the stagnant energy of the old pattern and ease your transition. Any other ideas? Crow " Look for Rainbows in the Darkness " spiritz wrote: > Hello to all, > I am a long time lurker, and seriously on a learning journey. That tag line is real familiar. Several of my clients are likely going through similar stuff, and they are improving with a combination of: gentle Myofacial Release, (Jenings seminars), Reiki, (I let the Energy do most of the work) and Process Oriented Bodywork (see your neighbor / teacher Matthew vanderGiessen) I am a talkative sort of fellow, and have been developing my intuition. So I ask my clients if they want to hear about interesting stuff that can pop into my " imagination " , and give a variety of disclaimers. Working on peoples' thoracic muscles tends to connect with their heart Chakras and Solar Plexus Chakras and related issues, lots of emotional releases happen. I encourage them to see professional psyc therapists too, preferably someone using EFT and or BSFF etc. EMDR can also help, just seems so much cruder. " consciousness is in expansion mode " ? Sounds a little like a Kundalani Awakenning too. Lots of good web sites out there to help you with that one. What do you mean by Physical Expansion? Love, Light, and Joy!
