Guest guest
Hi Crow/Caro :-) Nentatsu-ho (translation: thought transfer) is one of the original Reiki Ryoho techniques - the " new to us " Japanese techniques that have recently come out of Japan. When Tom Rigler, Rick Rivard and Andy Bowling brought Hiroshi Doi over from Japan last August for the workshop in Vancouver, the original techniques were taught. Rick Rivard is offering Usui's Reiki Hikkei (the handbook given to Usui's students and still given today in Japan) as a download with universal copyright. Also, at his site is some of the translation of Mr. Doi's book with quite a few of the Japanese techniques. (look for Iashi No Gendai Reiki Ho on the contents list) The most important one of course is Hatsurei-ho - the technique to enhance your Reiki channel and help you grow spiritually...this technique is taught at level II in Japan. Rick's url is http://www.threshold.ca/reiki/index.html Since you're teaching level I, you might want to add the level I techniques - Byosen Reikan Ho and Reiji. The description of Byosen can be found at Light and Adonea's site http://www.geocities.com/HotSprings/9434/advanced2.html#byosen I don't think anyone has Reiji posted on their websites - but it is simply intuitively allowing Reiki to guide your hands. When treating someone, bring the energy into your crown, down to the tanden (hara) and allow Reiki to fill your body. Move your hands in gassho to in front of your forehead and then allow Reiki to guide your hands to where they need to be placed on the person's body. Treat there for as long as intuitively needed. Then allow Reiki to guide you to the next placement. I teach this in my Reiki I classes and every time, the students hands are guided to a place of disease or discomfort which is unknown to the student. Really great to work in this way. The original way Reiki was taught was not passive with just putting your hands down...Usui worked bringing Reiki through the eyes, through the breath, tapping, pulsing, etc. Actually, Caro, many of your Healing Touch techniques are the same as the original Reiki techniques! They all seem to originate with QiGong. Usui was a KiKo practitioner - Japanese for QiGong. Have fun with it! Caroline Abreu wrote: > > Wow, Jane, thanks for that!
