Guest guest
I am a Montessori Preschool teacher. We are also working on this issue of prevention. Ours is an environment where children are respected and learn to respect others. They are exposed to cultural and other differences in people and learn to accept differences as a normal part of life. We teach peaceful conflict resolution and we have lessons in grace and courtesy. The important thing is they are learning this at a time when they are very eager to understand the world around them. Guest guest
I read your article and thought it was excellent. This reminds me of an article I recently read at Gary Zukav's site. It was an interview with the district attorney of Travis County, TX. His name was Ronnie Earle and it said that he is a pioneer of an emerging concept called " Community Justice " . He stated that " community justice is a problem-solving citizenship. It puts citizens in charge of the problem-solving effort. " I thought it was an interesting concept and just might work. Your approach would be more preventative though.
