Guest guest
Hey Jimmy, The shift has been very subtle over a period of time--it seems to be in direct proportion to the work I do or receive on my own energy field and the physical connection my nervous system-As each layer is peeled away or released, with gratitude for the service it has provided but perhaps is no longer necessary the more " dramatic " reactions with electronic devices seems to fall away as well-- As I allow myself to become more vulnerable with less layers of protection my field seems to become...I dont know...perhaps less of threat or less abrasive or just less in resistance--like there is less of a tug of war and more of an embracing-- Resistance has been a big piece in this-- Also old beleif patterns--as I am able to come to each experience with a mechanical thing from an open beginners mind place without the expectation of disaster...well..then...we all know how that works... I know this may sound silly but I also do Reiki on my electronic stuff and that seems to make a difference--Its all energy...just different vibrations...Love and acceptance whenever possible works for me... Oh well thats it for me..I'm floating away...gotta turn this off for a bit... Does anyone else feel completely ungrounded in front of the computer??? I have a piece of Hemotite but it seems to have allowed me to suck all its oooomph out of it...poor little thing... anyone know how to rejuvinate it...I feel like I killed it... Guest guest
Hi Sabrina: Hematite does not work for me, but then, neither do magnets. The mineraliness of the stone doesn't resonate for me (is that a word, " mineraliness " ? I guess I just made it up). If you like stones as grounding talismans, try something like a clay based stone (turquoise) or a silica based stone (obsidian) and see if that works better for you. Working at the computer can effect a sort of hypnotic trance, similar to watching a movie, sitting in front of the TV, or reading a good book. You might try using a small alarm clock or watch preset to go off at intervals to break your browsing pattern and prompt you to get up for a glass of water or a walk. I am particularly prone to this, too, occasionally to the point of forgetting to eat. It is not the computer, it is you. So you have control over the situation, and can make a good effort to keep yourself grounded and centered on a regular basis to avoid fazing out in front of the screen. But the commonality between us and appliances, the energy/vibrations, this idea has opened up new vistas for me. Thanks for the new viewpoint :-) _____________________________ Jimmy K. Guest guest
I once had a Reikii teacher who said that she couldn't wear a wristwatch because her energy field was so high. As I recall, it didn't make any difference if the watch was mechanical or electronic. On the other hand, I have long felt that I represent the focal point for entropy where mechanical devices were concerned. > " J. Guest guest
As a computer worker with neck problems, I can tell you that it is absolutely vital to get up and move around periodically. Computer work often causes people to lean forward and extend their necks more than usual. Over time, this can lead to something very much like thoracic outlet syndrome. This effect is magnified if your workstation is not properly set up ergonomically. I'm not sure if the problem is energetic or physical. I think that I could make a good case for each, so I suspect that it may well be both. I try to do ROM exercises on my neck and/or get up and walk around at least once an hour, which seems to help. Good luck! >Caroline Abreu <crow > > >Re: Stopping Watches >Sat, 22 Apr 2000 00:22:48 -0400 > >Hi Sabrina: > >Hematite does not work for me, but then, neither do magnets. Guest guest
Thanks for the input... In my case I do know the trancing out piece is energetic...but there is a physical piece I hadnt been aware of at all until my husband pointed it out to me...I am most comfortable sitting on the ground...always...when its necessary to sit in a chair I automatically sit in half lotus position...very comfortable for my spine...but...I am not physically connected to the ground at all...just up in the air with this oh so fast vibration box just pulsing at me...gee what a surprise I'm not grounded So I am going to reposition this workstation just like my sewing machine area...that is working oh so much better since i did this...move everything down to coffee table height so I can connect my butt to the ground.... YIPPEEEE...this feels really on for me... I am so grateful for this forum within which these kinds of issues can be explored without being labelled a lunatic Flakeadoodle!!! Guest guest
Well, We all have different frequencies, everything has electric frequency, we humans, generals have a frequency between 62-78 hertz, diseas begins when we drop below 58, our cells walls of our cells get thick, so the oxygen in our blood carrying nutrients can't get into the cell and feed it. When this happens the cell mutates and becomes a host for dissease. Cancer bigins when we go below 42 hertz. Things like televisions, monitors etc. have a very chaotic enery that is disruptive, things like herbs and essential oils have a very balances harmonious energy and frequency. Different disseases can not live in certain frequencies, and certain electrical, or even mechanical appliances/objects/watches whatever are effected in some way shape of form by the frequency arround it and how it resonnates and is effected by the objects and energy around it. Fritz and I were a great partnership, and he didn't need so much as a change of tyres in the three years we were together. His successor was a blue BMW and I called him Max because he was blue and German. But he never responded to me, and the name never stuck - I just couldn't get any feedback from this car. And while mechanically he has been OK, he has been jinxed with break-ins, scratches, being hit by others, losing hub cabs, blowing tyres, etc etc. Cost me a fortune in insurance, and we just don't have the rapport I had with Fritz. I've also always had relationships with my computers (Macs, all of them), and of course have personal relationships with my garden dwellers - flora and fauna. So either I'm irretrievably loopy or there's something to the idea that appliances are energetic entities, like us, and respond on some level. Perhaps I'm just a hopeless anthropomorphologist... Guest guest
LOL... Well, maybe it takes a special kind of " barmy " for us to be here talking about this; I have anthropomorphized just about every machine in my life. My old computer is Gladys, and this one is Betsy; the laptop is Pete (don't tell my husband I call the Presario Pete, please ;-) I won't carry on with all my car names; my last vehicle, my beloved van, was Matilda. Have a " new " wagon now, and haven't gotten a name yet, but I'm sure something will communicate itself soon. I think our tendency to do this helps us develop relationship with the mechanical things in our lives. After all, our pets have names, our friends and family have names. Why not the machines we live and work with? And as for doing Reiki on your car... well, it certainly can't hurt. If our universe is made up of things that are vibrating at various speeds, and entropy results from lack of energy (blocks or leaks), then offering some energy to a situation should be at least emotionally useful for the sender. I've had people swear that it worked, though I must admit I've had more sporadic results (but then, not all of my clients are " cured " either, so there is room for the concept of a machine's free will and karma, eh?) As for watches, I've had my share quit working or the batteries die on me... I also do better, frankly, not wearing jewelry every day because I am rough on it. Although I am October born, I have never been able to keep an opal ring, for instance; it always shatters or falls out. Rings, bracelets, earrings, necklaces, you name it, just fall off my body at times. I have better luck with glasses, but I do stick to the sturdy ;-) But I have noticed that the more I *need* to wear something, the less trouble I have with it (relationship?) If I am just adorning myself with it, it may stop, break, or fall off. My old klunky work watch is fine; its fancier dress watch sister, and the even fancier enamelled locket watch, are untrustworthy. I do think a lot of it has to do with compatability, and my energy, rather than the objects themselves; if they were inherited I might think a little differently, though. My Reiki Master used to tell me that if a piece of jewelry fell off you three times, you should give it away. I think she was just eyeballing my angel pendant <LOL>. But that's another story...
