Guest guest
Absolutely! I think that this is our foot in the door with the allopaths. Physicians today are trained to deal with life-or-death problems. Their training does not include quality of life issues, however. As a result, the patients for whom they can't come up with a diagnosis often are relegated to the " just stress " catagory. (been there myself) Most of these people need little more than to have someone take the time to help them examine their condition and reccommend an/or offer treatment. A lot of them just need some place safe to hide out for an hour every couple of weeks. The ironic thing is that most physicians consider these cases to be a pain in the neck because they can't effectively treat them and they keep coming back with more mysterious complaints. All we need to do is convince them. Maybe we should start a " Give your Doctor a Masage Day. " >edhslolf > > >Re: The Antique GP reply >Wed, 22 Mar 2000 13:56:59 EST > >Don't despair. Guest guest
Don't despair. Beacuse of the manner in which physians behave toward their patients it just makes us look better to those patients that we treat. There is such a need for one on one treatment. People want to be listened to and that is part of our function. Doctors DO NOT listen to their patients. We do. For those of us who are highly trained and skilled I have no fear that we will always be in demand.
