Guest guest
Good day to all from an unusually warm March in England - the daffodils are all dancing, the leaves sprouting new green and a giant bumblebee bounced off my kitchen window yesterday - all too early, but very welcome. No-one mentioned my two favourites: a cat, and music. Elgar's Sea Songs (sung by Janet Baker - essential), or Shostakovich's Jazz Suites; for really depressing days, Rossini's Barber of Seville (the whole thing, start to finish, can't fail to bounce my mood several miles higher). Or for cold evenings, a mambo CD at full volume - I defy anyone to sit through that - mambo just takes a body over. And a cat - mandatory for all seasons, but a warm, vibrating, furry little body placed judiciously on knees or (if lying flat) over heart, is excellent medicine at all times.
