To all my colleagues on the Acupuncture List;

My village is in great need of very particular software.

Does anyone know of inexpensive computer program that will translate

documents from English to readable Spanish?

I am an Acupuncturist and in my small village in Southwestern Wisconsin, I am

also the new Municipal Judge in a newly created court system. In our village,

there is a large Latino population. My dilemma and the reason for my question

is that it is entirely appropriate and needed for our newly created court to

have documents in both English and Spanish. Indeed, all other village

documents ought to reflect our multicultural community. My villages resources

and our knowledge of this type of software is limited. Any information and

help will be greatly appreciated?

Thank you

Hi Emmauel,

I had to smile at this because I just came back from treating the Tibetan's

in exile in India where one of the primary things we did was to explain to them

over and over that they had to change their diets because they were now

living in a different climate. The diet they were used to (yak and butter tea)

while OK for high altitude and cold climate is causing a major

HBP/Stroke/Diabetic(pre) issue that they didn't have before.

Hi Bobbi,

My wife is a senior student of Gyatrul Rinpoche and indeed dietary changes to

fit the new geographies as well as the new lifestyles is a huge issue. I have

friends who come from Eastern Europe and Russia as well as from various parts of

Asia who were quite fit in their home country. When they come here, they work

hard, rarely exercise, eat like an American ... and they look just like an

American: overweight and underactive. We have so much access to great

vegetables and fruits (though nothing like Taiwan I must say), that it's so

unnecessary to eat in the style of American fast food and junk food " cuisine " .

We also have the luxury of open spaces for walking, cycling, running, etc. We

are not so crowded as many other countries.

Thanks for your observation. My friend Z'ev similarly carries on about this

from time to time.
