Guest guest
Sagewoman: Have you been following this discussion? Happy99 is not a virus, it is a trojan, or worm program, that infects your email program if you open an " exe " file attached to an infected email. You will see " fireworks " while it insinuates itself, and the next time you send an email it will send an email with the same subject line to everyone in your address book that has the " exe " attached to it. I sent the URL last week for a page about this, but here it is again: http://www.freetips.com/happy.html The exe was removed from the mail sent to the list. What was sent was an exploded file that appeared as a scrambled text post, and was innocuous. If you are afraid you may have the worm, however, you can check your system using the directions outlined on the Freetips page. I'd really rather that this be the last of the discussion about Happy99. Thanks. sagewoman wrote: > > " sagewoman " <sagewoman > > would someone please tell me what the virus does ???? > > Sage > - > <Talks-withtrees > < > > Friday, February 25, 2000 6:14 PM > Re: turmeric > > > Talks-withtrees > > > > The Happy doc is a virus you ass > > > > > > http://community.webtv.net/Talks-withtrees/PrayerChain > > > > > > > >
