Guest guest
As an energy worker, I have yet to encounter an entity . How does one assess for an entity? Love and Light, Debi
Guest guest
There are many " planes " of existence. while in this physical plane, I am not adept to defy gravity although I acknowledge it probably can be done by a Master ie: levitation. You wont see me jumping off any tall buildings in the near future, nor will i be knocking on the door of the astral plane where all the discarnate lost spirits hang out either. Just because we dot acknowledge something doesnt mean it isnt there. IMO http://community.webtv.net/Talks-withtrees/PrayerChain
Guest guest
Anything out of balance is destructive. take for instance Day and Night. The night in and of itself is not bad, but to remain in darkness would cause death on this planet. If it was day all the time, the earth would also perish. Polarity is a difficult thing for the mind to comprehend, so I try not to spend too mch time trying LOL. I can only be in the " now. " When I am in darkness, I seek the light. When I am in light, I seek out the darkness to bring the light...hmmm very strange. http://community.webtv.net/Talks-withtrees/PrayerChain

Guest guest
Hmmm assess for an entity . . . I suppose it is relative . . .however I will not cop out with the dictionary, but speak from my own understanding, . . . we all have different ways of experessing the " characteristics " of given things, as human beings we need labels for discourse . . . the corporate entity, the human entity, the spiritual entity, and for the purposes of this communication, the " demon " entity . . . how does the entity of cancer differ from the entity of say, asthma . . . Rheotorical question.... Sage
Guest guest
- Gloria Davidson <myturn > The biomedical model of thought disorders chooses to state (no documented evidence I might add) that mental illness's (their definition) are caused by chemical imbalances in the brain. The imbalances are documented but no one has yet determined whether they are a result of the lack of balance in the life of the individual, the side effect of medication or? Its sort of a what comes first, the chicken or the egg. And with so much focus on the medical model, the person becomes a label - he is a schizophrenic, a manic-depressive, an obsessive compulsive. In this model there is no attempt at integration of the spiritual, mental and psychological components with the physical. There is an attempt to negate their socialization, their abuse and their family of origin issues, explaining it all away as a chemicle disorder. Gloria, I worked at a State School for the Mentally and Physically challenged for four years as a music therapist. when these kinds of considerations arise, it carries me back to the plight of individuals who have no choice about their lot in life, but are born into the fringe of society that, yes even today, sees them as possessed and steps aside. Oh yeah, throw down a few coins, but keep them out of sight, . . . . let someone else do the " dirty " work. These are complex questions and unfortunately there really is no " answer " . .. . we do the best we can. We find out what works for us and then we attempt to help others find out what works for them, Blessings, Sage >
Guest guest
I am glad to see everyone " wake up " on the list for this discussion ;-) In answer to your question, energetic attachments may not always present themselves in some sort of obvious way, like possession... that would be fairly easy to assess! Instead, you will most often find an attachment where a person has repeated leaks in the energy field, unexplained weaknesses, habits that seem obsessive or the person seems unable to break despite desire and support, clumsiness, deep depression that doesn't respond to medication or therapy, erratic mood swings the person can't explain (in the absence of substance abuse or chemical imbalance). The signs will probably be subtle but persistent. A person who has energy work on a regular basis and seems to balance well, but doesn't hold. A person who can't seem to maintain a positive outlook or is self-destructive, and can almost pinpoint a time or occurrence that led to the " shift " . My mentor Janet Mentgen experienced an attachment after driving by the scene of a horrible accident, for instance. I was trained to prepare myself before a session by centering and grounding myself, and requesting that all the energies in the room be present for the greatest good of everyone, harming no one. I remember Dora Kunz saying that if you can stay a vessel of unconditional love, then you will not be attractive to attachments. That is great, but it is also very hard to maintain without practice! Centering and grounding, practicing unconditional love and acceptance will protect *you*. I hesitate to tell people how to assess for " entities " as that assumes that there is a set of symptoms that will always be present, and that those symptoms always represent an attachment. Psychology has gone down that road before with false memory syndrome. The best way I can tell you to find attachments is to work with the layers of the field with every client you encounter, animal, plant and mineral, until you can sense what " clear " is to you and what is not. If you experience a draw in the field (it may feel cold, magnetic, pulling, sucking, empty, or conversely, repelling or " creepy " ) notice specifically where you are assessing the feeling (how far off the body, over what part of the body, around which chakra zone, etc). Silently address the sensation; ask it if it is serving a purpose, and if so, what it is. Sometimes a person has harbored an attachment since early in life, perhaps before birth. Removing the attachment without the consent of the person would be unethical. If you do sense something, when you are talking to the client you might ask permission to release any blocks or attachments you find in the field if it serves their highest good. If they hesitate, give them time to consider; it is, after all, their decision. If they agree, you can say a generic prayer of forgiveness and protection with the client and ask that any attachments that are no longer serving the client's highest good release the client for the rest of their existence and return to their source of origin in a peaceful and gentle way. Sometimes this does not work. If you don't have experience with spirit releasing, extraction work, exorcism, etc, I would advise you to find someone reliable who does, and refer out. This list is not an adequate way to learn these kind of skills, unfortunately ;-) Deborah Cox wrote: > > Deborah Cox <debicox > > As an energy worker, I have yet to encounter an entity . Guest guest
Crow, Thanks for the info, it was very helpful as well as interesting! Also being a CHTP, I make sure I'm grounded and have the intent for the highest good for all. Until now, I had thought that if a client's field couldn't hold the energy in balance, then they just weren't ready or willing to move on or heal. Now if the energy continues to distort in the same pattern, I will know to assess it differently. Thanks again.
