Are some mentally ill possessed by demons?

I've been reading a remarkable book that explores the

boundary between mental illness and the Paranormal. It

centres on a well-documented case of a woman who is

possessed by demons (or mentally ill?) and is plagued

by bizarre injuries and inexplicable experiences

similar to Stigmata. The book is called 'The

Awakening, One Man's Battle with Darkness' and has a

website at

http://www.warishell.com/awakening/index.htm

Has anyone else come across psychiatric cases that

have no apparent medical explanation?

Our minds are powerful entities in their own rights. Demon possessed? I doubt

it very

much. Possessed by one's mind and what it can create - yes - the demons are in

one's

mind. It is very powerful.

Zoe,

There is an excellent book by Barbara Hort (she is a Jungian psychologist)

called " Unholy Hungers: Encountering the Psychic Vampire in Ourselves and

Others " which you may want to look at. The publisher is Shambhala. It is a

serious (as opposed to sensational) look at this issue, and has been praised by

both Marion Woodman and Jean Shinola-Bolen. It might make your hair raise.

I highly recommend it to all bodyworkers and/or counselors.

blessings, Jen

Donna Eden in her book " Energy Medicine " talks of a

case of a guy she worked on who thought he was

possessed. She originally didn't believe in this sort

of thing and worked on him, and ended up believing

that it was a possession or some elemental attached to

him. She relieved him of his problem but then she and

her husband had to do work to get rid of it from her.

I've had quite a few experiences in my practice where it was very obvious

that something else was present in the room--and in some cases speaking

through the body--the energy is such that I have no doubt that these

energies were not a part of the organism before me--they had found a

parking spot in the lot of these people--

With one client this was happening quite frequently--she is an energy

worker herself and when she started setting the intention that only those

of the light are welcome when she opened herself up the situation cleared

up--in her case it was less of a lesson or a specific purpose as an

oppurtunity--she had simply been too available--

As Caroline stated there are many things out there that we dont

understand--perhaps we arent meant to with this little apparatus we use for

cognitive thought--

I feel much--and understand little--this is a concept that has not been

particularly difficult for me as I learned early on on this path that much

will not be understood and thats fine--I simply trust my intuition and go

from there--if I had a need to cognitively understand everything I wouldnt

be able to do this work--as 90% of what goes on cannot be understood that

way--just accepted as part of the journey--

I dont know what the point of this was--

I guess to just say that I know these entities and energies exist--that

they are out there--but there is no need to go into fear and

resisstance--they exist just like light as they are necessary to make up

this universe--and as we stay in our light and work in love than they will

not choose to stay in that energy for long--it doesnt support them--that

has been my experience--
