Sacral Chakra, Male Health

HEY FOLKS.... this post might be a little risqué for some readers.

Hi Jim:

I'm glad that you are seeking some adjunctive methods for improving

your health, especially in such a difficult area. I assume that your

physician has you taking antibiotics, which is another kettle of fish.

Mostly these inflammations are deep-set and take awhile to get rid of,

so be patient, and keep taking your medication, even after you feel

better, until your prescription is finished.

That said, make sure that you are providing your plumbing with plenty

of fluid to flush with, especially spring or filtered water. I would

normally tell you that beer is not a bad thing, because the hops and

diuretic action are healthy, but the alcohol will collide with your

meds, so try to avoid alcohol if you can. Cranberry, pineapple, and

grapefruit juices are good astringents for the renal system... the

less sugar the better. You will note that the sacral chakra responds

to liquids best, and that the element is water. Respect that for these

systems to function properly you must be adequately hydrated.

Cut back on your meat intake for the time being, and switch to simpler

and more bioavailable proteins, including protein powders (smoothies

will fit the liquid requirements). Adding yogurt or active

lactobacillus cultures will help avoid yeast infections from the

antibiotics, too. Cruciform vegetables (the broccoli family) are good

for prostate health, as are some herbs such as saw palmetto. Check for

compatibility with your meds before starting herbs, though :-)

In addition to consuming fluids, it would be good for you to take warm

baths (sit in water) as often as possible. This will be especially

useful for your epididymitis. Massage your groin and rectal area with

castor oil. If you have access to Edgar Cayce material, look up the

method for creating castor oil packs and utilize them. Since you are

" working alone " so to speak it might be difficult to massage your

prostate (which you can do with a little assistance, a latex glove,

and some castor oil), so as an alternative I would suggest the

exercise that is encouraged in older men who develop prostate

problems: regular masturbation. It helps to clear the system and keeps

the energy moving.

A good kinetic exercise for opening sacral energy is to stand with the

legs shoulder width apart or wider, the hands akimbo (on the hips) and

the elbows bent. Loosen the knees, move into a " horse " stance, or a

high squat. Now, making sure that you are taking deep, full belly

breaths, giving yourself time to experience inhalation and exhalation,

begin tilting your pelvis backward and forward. Feel the tilt, and

exaggerate it, supporting it with your hands if necessary. Inhale and

tilt back, exhale and tilt forward. Increase your pace, and extend

your arms out in front of you; reach with your hands as you tilt your

pelvis backward, and pull your hands towards your chest as you tilt

forward (like rowing a boat). Continue to cycle your breathing faster

until you are panting. Be conscious of your breath and do not

hyperventilate, however. Once you have the rhythm established, back,

reach and inhale, forward, pull and exhale, you can feel the energy

moving up from the earth through your body and stimulating the organs

and structures in your abdomen and pelvis. Do this exercise when you

arise and before bed, and when you have pain, to stimulate endorphin

release.

The mechanics and function of our sexual organs are very important to

us in many ways, yet we are often reluctant to discuss or explore any

dysfunction because of our fears. Sex is one of our most morally

ambiguous functions, the one which we have more issues with than any

other in society due to religion, ethics, taboos, and laws. It is a

good and necessary thing, but also carries the shadows of our

neuroses, desires, fantasies and compulsions. As long as we are honest

about these shadows, with ourselves and our consensual partners, and

explore our options with care and respect, honoring the personal

boundaries of ourselves and others, sexual behavior is a positive

method of moving energy in our body temples. It is only when we are

dishonest and secretive that sex becomes dangerous and disrespectful

of its nature. Sex should never be used to assert power over another,

invade another's personal space without consent, to intimidate or

manipulate. Using it in these ways causes deepset conflicts inside all

the beings involved.

Exploring shadows with a partner can be exciting, as long as both

people are clear that discussing fantasy does not mean it has to be

explored, and that role play within a relationship, when not taken to

excessive extremes, can be a healthy way of seeing things from a

different perspective. Care and respect, and always, love. Flow is a

skill that comes with practice; most of us have many blocks to free

flow that will only erode with work and time. Be gentle with yourself

and know that you are a good and vital person and your body knows how

to heal itself.

Good luck, Jim, take good care of yourself.

Crow ,

I appreicate your comments on sexual energy. I read statements like yours and

understand and fully agree in my head (logically) but i can not bring it into

my heart(emotions) i want so much to have a healthy attitude on my sexual

energy. Is this excerise helpful to females also?

Thanks RedTail

That is true for me also. I would be very interested in hearing a response

on chakras and females.

Thanks for mentioning it
