Guest guest
thanks to Crow for reposting the chakra info. it really is interesting for me as I am learning how to balance mine. for some reason I don't seem to receive all the posts from the list so find it difficult sometimes to contribute and I did miss the earlier chakras. blessings Jan
Guest guest
Chester: In my response a couple of days ago, I listed them, in case you want to read that post, too. The keynotes correspond chakra to keynote along the octave scale: root (1) = C sacral (2) = D solar plexus (3) =E heart (4) = F throat (5) = G brow (6) = A crown (7) = B transpersonal point/ " eighth chakra " = high C Blessings, Crow " Look for Rainbows in the Darkness " " Chester S. Guest guest
Many people think of the transpersonal point as another energy center; I do not see it that way; I see it as a transpersonal connection between the individual's energy field and the universal energy field, therefore a link to everyone else in the greater matrix. If you had to define a location, it would be above the crown at the edge of the personal energy field/aura. Crow " Chester S. Williams " wrote: > Thanks, Carolyn. No, I didn't see the first one. Guest guest
Thanks, Carolyn. No, I didn't see the first one. Now, is the 8th above the 7th in the aura or is it at the back of the head, or at its base? Love is Light. - - Chet
Guest guest
Caroline, thanks. Makes sense to me, your schemata for #8. The chakras remind me, too, of Lawrence Kohlberg's stages of moral development. Incidentally, I have a college classmate who " discovered " Maslow while he was peddling college texts, egging him on for quite awhile since Maslow hadn't given much thought to publishing anything. My friend said he was pretty much a grumpy old gink! But, then, so was the book rep. And as for Kohlberg, this wonderful person came to a tragic end ten or more years ago, taking his own life rather than inflict suffering on others because of an advanced incurable illness (suicided at a reservoir outside of Boston in the middle of winter, leaving his topcoat in the car0. I'm glad that as a Unitarian I was brought up on Emersion and his ties to Hinduism. So chakras are not all Greek [sanskrit] to me! Thanks again, Caroline (Crow). Guest guest
Viv: You're welcome to share the chakra information I post. Besides the commentaries, which are mine, most of the correspondences come from various sources, including Anodea Judith, Barbara Brennan, Janet Mentgen, C. W. Leadbeater and Mary Jo Bulbrook. The first place I encountered the keynotes was in a Healing Touch class in 1990.
