Guest guest
Hi Folks: A couple of people have asked why there was a need to start another list for this issue... and briefly, this are our reasons... First off, although this list is a good place for debate, it is not and should not be an arena for promoting political agendas of any kind. I prefer, as I'm sure the membership does, that this list remain an open and objective forum where all opinions are freely expressed. In keeping with the original flavor of this list, I asked Manny to move the focus discussion to another arena; starting a separate list seemed the most logical conclusion. I also wanted the new forum to be a support network for those who would like to be organized in opposition to over-regulation and control of bodywork (and also energy work), not a place where those people should have to constantly defend their views as " anarchic " . In addition, licensure and legislation, despite its importance and immediacy as a US issue, is not a universal issue, and I'd like to have more bandwidth dedicated to practice discussion and other stuff that doesn't get everybody's ears red without really solving anything. I hope this straightens out the reasons behind the origin of Freedom_For_Bodywork. Thanks for your feedback.
