Guest guest
It is important to note that Nelson Mandela was quoting Marianne Williamson, as was President Clinton when he quoted Nelson Mandela <LOL> This is a wonderful affirmation of the holy being inside us all, isn't it? I would recommend Marianne Williamson's book on prayer, as well. She has a healer's prayer that I copy for my energy work students. Blessings, Crow " Look for Rainbows in the Darkness " kim <berlee David I leave you with these thoughts: " Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. " ~ ~ Marianne Williamson (continuation) we ask ourselves who am i to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? actually, who are you NOT to be? you are a child og god. your playing small does not serve the world. there is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. we were born to make manifest the glory of god that is within us. it is not just in some of us; it is in everyone. and as we let our light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. as we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others. ~~nelson mandela- 1994 inaugural speech ----------------------

These words were never spoken by Nelson in his 1994 Inaugural Address. They in fact come from Marianne Williamson book " A Return To Love " , which was published months prior to Mandela's speech. If you are interest in seeing the speech Mandela made, visit the following URL: http://www.facts.com/cd/d94338.htm Here is the entire text of Our Deepest Fear: [ Our Deepest Fear ] Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure about you. Guest guest
thanks, my point was not who said it, it was the rest of what was said. this was given to me by one of my instructors and has been very integral for me during my more insecure moments. the signature quote just reminded me to dig it back out and share the rest of it for anyone who may not have seen it before or would benefit from a refresher.
