Guest guest
I read that rather fascinating, although overzealous and frightening report of " kundalini symptoms " on the net today. I was interested in the report, simply from the standpoint that the person reporting the " discomfort " with kundalini rising not only did not understand what was happening with her, she fought the process and was surrounded by non-supportive allopathic medical personnel who diagnosed her with paranoid schizophrenia. Now, I am not about to make a judgement about her mental stability, but I know that many times people who are mentally ill have poor filters for the energetic data they are processing, and may interpret benign occurences as dangerous because they feel threatening or incomprehensible. With acceptance and understanding, the sensations balance out and they transform from feeling they are hallucinating to knowing that they are experiencing visions, a much more palatable state. I agree with Michelle that the negative aspects relate to blocks in the channel that distort the flow of energy upwards, so that it can circulate freely. Ideally, kundalini rising will make a person feel flushed and ecstatic, with a sense of being both deeply grounded while at the same time connected to source. It is the ultimate goal of all forms of yoga practice, and doesn't sound too shabby to me, either ;-) -- Blessings, Crow " Look for Rainbows in the Darkness " -- Caroline Abreu, BS, RN, CHTP/I, CRMT B*A*L*A*N*C*E Awakening the Inner Healer with " A Nurturing Touch " http://www.geocities.com/HotSprings/Spa/5114/
